My guinea pig Tilly loves it! Easy to assemble. It's a perfect size; fits right under my tv. It can be used with or without its legs. Easy to clean and no smell! He has a lot of room to play and sleep.

When I first started pulling the contents out, I was unsure of how sturdy it would be. I wasn’t expecting mahogany or oak, but it’s pretty light wood. It’s important to lay everything out in an open room. Each of the larger pieces are numbered. Make sure to be mindful that each fastener and screw is labeled in the instructions. *MAKE SURE TO ASSEMBLE THE SIDE OPENING TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE “HIDE BOXâ€!! The instructions were unclear on that. After it’s put together, it really is sturdy and a nice unit. Much easier than trying to hammer and saw something that looks presentable in a house. I’ve had no issues with my gerbil trying to chew it. Overall, it’s a great value for the money. Everything is easy access to clean and the size makes a big difference. I’d buy again.

It is very nice for my daughters Guinea pigs and it was easy to put together. But the guineas are bitting the wood up on some parts even though they have toys to chew on

I switched to this cage over a plastic bottomed petsmart cage because I liked the legs and wanted to be able to vacuum underneath. I put it together by myself and it took about 45mins to assemble. I did use a drill as other reviews had said this was the easiest way to put it together without the wood splintering. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, everything was numbered and packaged separately. When I took it out of the box some of the pieces were stained and I noticed the margins were a little bit off when drilling pieces together(legs not quite lining up with the front outside of the cage, top piece hanging very slightly over the right side of the cage). That aside it still looks very nice when assembled and has plenty of room for my two Guinea pigs who are really loving it. I especially like the plastic panel into the den area as I can see them through it and the easy pull out bottom to clean them out without having to remove them. For the money I definitely think it’s worth the price. As I just put it together yesterday I can’t speak on the durability of the cage but it does seem fairly sturdy and the latches are secure.

absolutely terrible quality the wood is cheap and mine came broken the measurements are a lie it is not 5ft it’s 3ft false advertisement highly do NOT recommend don’t waste your money on this better to go to home depot spend less and make it yourself this is the worst thing i’ve ever received on amazon and they aren’t even willing to give me a full refund

I got this for my piggy so I’d have an easier job of cleaning (because, like a litter box, it’ll stink if you don’t keep up on it), while giving him a more sanitary environment and more room to play. However, while the tray spans the length of the hutch, the screened bottom does *not*. My piggy (his name is Tawny â¤ï¸) spends a lot of time in the hideaway (underneath the upper level), which is a wood-bottomed, and he “goes potty†in there too…on the wood. It seems to me like that was a very poor manufacturing decision. Not only does this ruin the wood, but there are also ever the slightest gaps between this wood bottom and the slide-out tray below, meaning his pee often drips down to my hardwood floor leaving the floor discolored—I’ve tried several times to remove the stains and they won’t budge—the floor is ruined in those spots.I went ahead and spent this much on him because he deserves a clean, fun home and it solved multiple problems—unfortunately, it has merely created new ones.This is why I wait to write reviews until I can give an honest and thorough answer. This isn’t the kind of product you can use and send back if it doesn’t work for your application, so hopefully I can spare others the time spent assembling the hutch, the time spent worrying about your piggy after he/she inevitably chews the painted wood, and especially those who are looking for something that makes cage cleaning easier—this one’s not it, unfortunately. Like I said in my title, it looks nice, but looks are not what I needed.

It has poor quality wood. They advertise as its not chewable but it is. Its a spacious cage nd easy to assemble.
