Designated as "Medium/Medium" due to its mid-range crown width and height, this is the most popular size of fretwire used of modern guitars. It has a very slight radius (arc), which can be adjusted as necessary to match your instrument. This fret wire can be used to repair/replace frets on an existing guitar, or for new instrument building. The dimensions are as follows: Crown Width: .080 in (2.03mm); Crown Height: .043 in. (1.09mm); Tang Depth .050 in. (1.25mm). Recommended Slot Width: .023 in.

good product user friendly even for a first timer like me.Cutting, trimming,filing the ends, leveling the tops,recrowning,sanding and polishing an entire 24 fret neck is a long, tedious time consuming process and requires some good tools, a background in fabrication, artistic sculpture,something that gives you the skills to do things with your hands with a near surgeon like precision are needed for jobs like this or you're likely to do damage to your guitar that'll decrease it's value a good deal.It took me the better part of 2 days working non stop to do mine.I've done a lot of fabrication,electronics repair,high performance engine modifications on just about everything with wheels or wings and been blessed with good hand skills and this had them begging for mercy.

Great wire, but Stewart Macdonald describes it as "popular for gibson refrets". SMALL! I should have used a caliper to measure what I needed but it never hurts to have various sizes kicking arround. Next I might try wide/medium for my SG.

great fret wire.. really high quality. they rolled in ridge anchors to keep it from popping out which some fret wire is not equipped with. very pleased with the product as well as the expedient delivery.
