So far, they have been a great replacement for failed units on an inexpensive acoustic bass. Install was straight forward. They look extremely similar to the original units that were replaced.Unless these fail in a similar time frame as the original, i highly recommended these.

Nice smooth, accurate turns with these. No, "skip" or bounce as you spin them to tighten or loosen your strings. Good solid build quality. Looks awesome in black.

These tuners look great and fit my Carvin bass perfectly. I rated them 4 instead of 5 because it's yet to be determined how long they will last. But for now they look and work great.

they worked well with my warwick corvette double buck bass. just take care to tighten firmly, tight but ot to tight and there good to go.

One tuning key broke so I replaced all four. The swap was easy and the fit was perfect. I recommend tightening the nut first then the screw on the back. I did not use any wrenches on the nut just a deep well socket. Be very careful as you could strip the screw I went back and forth a couple of times. If you use a ratchet or wrench be careful not to go too tight. I have excellent tune ability and tune retention so far. Highly recommend!

I had to get some replacement tuners for my Epiphone Embassy because it wasn't staying in tune, so I took a gamble and I got these for cheap. They work amazing for being what they are, the bass stays in tune now and they fit straight on. Can't tell how durable they are though, since they've only been on for a short amount of time but so far they've hung on.

Just fitted guyker bass guitar machine heads on a old aria pro fb mk2 bass guitar and look and feel good, direct replacement, no need to modify headstock, just need to fit tusk nut and fit new wiring loom and rotasound swing 66 strings and all ready to play again, I update later when project is finished

This is really the question."Are they better than the stock tuners on my beginner level Yamaha or squier bass"?Yes, yes they are. Deburred edges, so they feel quality and smooth turning. Great value for the price, Bass tuners are usually expensive per tuner so ....these are really goodFunctionality wise, I can only speak to the first day, which is meaningless, but they turn smoothly and feel less like they'll cut you with a sharp edge than the cheapo Bass tuners that come stock on most basses.They fit my guitar but reaming holes is easy..usually headstocks are maple and as long as you're careful expanding the holes, these will fit. Build tolerance wise they seem amazing
