Gymboss timers are made to keep your HIIT workouts efficient and effective.They can be set for two intervals (2 seconds to 99 minutes), and rounds or repeats up to 99 times.

Gymboss timers are perfect for Tabata workouts – set the intervals for 20 seconds and 10 seconds for 8 repeats. Run, bike, row, squat, lunge – pick your favorite – and go as hard as you can for the 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds, and repeat 8 times. This is the ultimate HIIT routine. There are many different routines to do Tabata style, and the Gymboss is the perfect timer to get the job done.

Rest is important when weightlifting. Different rest times yield very different results and providing consistent rest allows you to reach goals and watch your progress. Not timing rest can result in workouts that may run much longer than planned.

Use Gymboss to time an exact rest period, such as 60 seconds, or whatever rest time you desire, between every set. Set the rest you desire and the beep and/or vibration of the Gymboss lets you know when your rest is over. Or, set the repeating feature and complete a disciplined workout of 20 sets in 30 minutes with approximately 60 seconds rest between each set, that’s a 30 minute workout every time!

This nice little gadget is great for running intervals. I set my run and walk intervals, and clip it to the neck of my tshirt so I can hear the beep over my earbuds. I will say that I tried the chargeable version of this device (I went through two) and had bad luck both times. The battery operated version is the way to go, in my opinion.

I run with a group of friends along Santa Monica beach, training for marathons. Using the Jeff Galloway method we run for four minutes, walk for one minute and repeat those intervals until the finish. In interval mode, the Gymboss beeps on the four minutes and again on the one minute, telling us when to run and when to walk. It is simple to program and the beep is nice and loud so we don't miss a walk break. I had a chance to run with Jeff Galloway a couple of months ago, and he was using a Gymboss to track his intervals. So, I decided to get one, and I like it.

As we Brits say, It's the brill! Lighter than my Citizen on my wrist. An absolute ease to master and operate IF you watch the gymboss dot com video (the accompanying instructions are s***e and in such tiny print you need the Mt Palomar telescope to flippin read them). I watched the gymboss vid twice, mucked about with it, getting the knack, then watched the vid a third time. Now, right as rain. Me wiff and I use it for Tabata. We also bought the GymBoss strap which, amusingly, was more of a head-scratcher than the timer. As I said, it's the brill! I only wish it'd been Prime eligible to save the $3.95 shipping cost. Still, did I say it's the brill?

Just like the old Gym Boss timers, this one is mediocre. It works well; the alarm has enough various settings that you can be sure to find one that suits your need. The numbers are easy to read, setting up the timer and using the stopwatch function is good enough. My only problem with it is its lack of customizability in regards to interval times. You can set two, and only two, different interval times. For example, if I want to do 2 plyometric exercises for 30 seconds each, followed by a 45 second rest, I can't use this timer. I could do 1 exercise for 30 seconds and then a 45 second rest period. This is an inconvenience when I attempt to do some interval training, like the heavy rope. When I use my rope, I'll do 1 minute each of 5 different exercises, and then rest for 3 minutes. I would love the timer to do this: 1 minute, beep, 1 minute, beep, 1 minute, beep, 1 minute, beep, 1 minute, beep, 3 minutes, beep. But I can't do that. Instead I have to set it for infinite 1 minute intervals, then when it comes time to rest, I have to count the three minutes. The point is, each "round" of HIIT training can only have 2 different times, and I wish this product could accommodate more variability than that.

For anyone into interval training, this is the timer to have. It is easy to use and durable. I can't imagine how it could be better. Thank you for an excellent product.

This timer is great. I bought it because you a program it to go off every so many minutes. I’m using it to help potty train my special needs son and not having to worry about resetting it for every 30 minutes is great.

Simple et efficace. Solide et utilisable dans n'importe quelle condition. Le clips tient très bien pour le saut à la corde ou les burpees. Avec des écouteurs dans les oreilles et votre musique préférée, vous sentirez bien le mode vibreur pendant les exercices.Très bien.

Does it job as timer but it's not loud enough. You have to put it on your chest area specially if you have loud music on. Or you won't hear when timer is done
