I needed these for some carburetor work on small engines. These are good quality and worked well with soft metal/brass. Handy, easy to use, well thought out/labeled storage case.

Outside of the drill bits themselves, the most important part of this drill set is the case these tiny bits come in.At first glance, you might think the drill bit holder's clear cap has stepped accommodations to slip over the ends of the bits to hold them more securely in their correct base positions. You would be wrong. Only the two smallest bits have small dimples that capture the tips of the bits. The rest of the steps are just solid blanks offering little security in keeping the bits in proper sequence. I suspect at one time these steps actually functioned, but running production changes (the bits being made shorter ...as in cheaper) made the steps worthless . Treat the case carefully; always keep it upright and park it someplace where it's not going to get knocked about. The bits are shipped with a rubber band stretched around the bases of the bits, holding them in place to withstand the rigors of shipping and showing how little faith the manufacturer has in the ability of the case to retain the bits.I bought these bits as wire gauges to check carb jets so using them as drill bits will not be in the game plan. I suspect their durability will be sufficient for my purposes. I have no idea as to their accuracy; I would need to put a micrometer to them for that. For my use, the drill bits cover a wide range of jet sizes for the small engines i will be tuning.
