I stripped screws in stock cap and thought I was going to have to cut the original one off. I wound up getting them out anyways, but still ran with this cap, as it was already here. HUGE upgrade IMO! Gave 4 stars because the polish isn't perfect but I am definitely not complaining.. Worthy score!

Definitely looks better than the stock one with all the writing on it. Easy to install, just remove the two screws and then remove the cover and plastic piece. Attach new cover with the new supplied screws. Done.Only fits '07, '08, '09 models so keep that in mind when ordering.Update: Seeps a very small amount of brake fluid. Tried tightening it down and even taking it off and cleaning the edges off, but still continued. Put the stock one back on and it stopped.It seems the design on this one has a small gap that allows some brake fluid to get into the upper chamber and then seep out the sides. The stock one uses a white plastic diaphragm that only has a small hole right in the middle.

Heavy metal and nicely chromed. The underside is molded to fit the gasket nicely. For those still personalizing their older Star bikes, it's an affordable addition that you get to see while you ride. No regrets.
