I like the idea that not only does this device charge you phone or device, it also can serve as a voltmeter for your power source. Polarities on this device and extension checked out properly as you would expect, so no confusion on hooking it up.

I thought this dual USB port device with a built-in voltmeter would be a nice addition to my older sport bike. I liked the idea of having a display of the battery voltage mounted on the handlebars in addition to adding the USB ports. But when I installed it on my bike a design failure was exposed. It works fine, I just think whoever designed it missed the mark for motorcycles. The SAE style connector should be attached loosely at the end of a wire, not sticking out of the back of this device. Connect the other half of the connector to it and the whole unit doubles in length making it a major eyesore sticking out perpendicular to the bars. And the mounting slots for the supplied wire ties (a subpar mounting system IMO) are at the end of the body and don't hold the unit completely tight to the bars and add to the eyesore look. This poor design makes me think this product should be a pass for most motorcyclists.

Not a bad example of a pretty straightforward device. With the cap on, its fairly water tight. Open, it's probably susceptible to shorting out from water intrusion. The volt meter is nice to have too, right on the side where you can see it. Similarly, it was very easy to install, using a typical powersports-type plug. This means you can run it out in the open, and if necessary unplug the USB side and use the same plug for a small-battery air compressor or similar accessory. My only real complain is how poor quality the switch is. It's very light duty, and frankly doesn't feel well sealed from the elements. But, it's nice to be able to turn the USB off when not in use, or turn it on separately from the ignition key of the motorcycle. That way I can leave the navigation or phone on to charge, but not have to keep the rest of the bike powered on. So, overall I'm happy, if not supremely impressed at its value or quality.

I'm so pleased with this. I will certainly use it on my Moto, but I have also installed SAE pigtails on the front and rear of all my vehicles, so this will come in handy there too. So nice to have a USB port at the front or rear of my vehicle whenever I need it for convenience, instead of going to the interior when I'm working outside. I love the rubbery feel and the waterproof feature.

I bought this to hardwire a USB C plug that I can turn on and charge something small at a campsite without running the engine. Super happy with the price because with the switch and voltmeter built in, this saved purchasing those additional items. I cut off the SAE plug on the provided cable, spliced in aa fuse, and ran it to the distribution blocks for my car stereo, super easy. There is another review which states if you do not have a SAE plug, all the cabling is provided for you- this is not true. What you see in the listing is what you get. If you are using this on a motorcycle, you can pick up one of those SAE ports and wire it to your battery, they are very inexpensive.

Sometimes you have to charge stuff on your motorcycle. When my dual sport was built, there weren't such things as GPS units, satellite communicators, helmet comms, rechargeable headlamps, e-books and cell phones that needed charging when you were out and about. Well, I guess cell phones existed, but there was never a thought given to including a USB charging slot on a early 2000's motorcycle. But all that stuff exists now, and I need to charge it when I'm out on some long, multi-day camping adventure! All of that stuff I listed is not even a compete list of what I carry on a camping trip (and yes, I have been accused of overpacking, thank you.)I have added a charger to my bike, but the truth is, I need a few more slots sometimes. This charger allows me to plug in to my pre-existing SAE port (if you don't have one, they provide cabling) to give me a temporary type C and a type A charge port for attending to all my electronics at camp. I use it as a temp expansion, but if you don't already have a port, this comes with everything you need to add it to your bike as a permanent USB port.

This worked great to add USB A an C to my motorcycle. Easy to install as I had the wires for my battery tender already mounted to my battery. Comes with a nice long cord to allow multiple mounting positions with included zip ties. Good value, would recommend.
