Use when feeding helps collect milk. It’s saved me from wasting 1-3oz during a feeding. Definitely a must have for new moms. Also small amounts collected can be used for bath soap, milk bath.

I was hoping to pump but didn't wanted to use electric. This works well. I get 2-4 oz per pumping. It's best for at home when you can sit still, and not ideal for sleeping. The lady bug or other pump are better for going out or sleeping, but this gets way more milk. It pulls but not too much. I like that it can be stood up and has a lid. Big fan of the whole Haakka line

Do I like manual pumps? No. Am I obsessed with haakaa? Yes. It seems unfair to even call it a pump since it requires so little effort. But it's effective, and I love how the product has evolved over the years. The base and cover help reduce overtired accidents. 10/10!

I cannot say enough amazing things about the Haakaa! Collect 1-5 ounces of work with minimal effort and easy cleanup? Sign me! My doula told me about the Haakaa when I was pregnant with our first kiddo and we're now on kiddo number two and I still use the Haakaa faithfully! Of course I get a new one to account for normal use and wear and tear and I get many many uses before needing to replace my Haakaa. It is so easy to use you simply attach to the opposite breast while your child is nursing on the other side. When your baby triggers the let down the Haakaa will collect the milk. In the mornings when my supply is heaviest I can get 3-4 ounces during a 15-minute nursing session. Amazing! And just as amazing as the simple cleanup! Only one piece to clean, two of you use the lid. I boiled to sterilize for the first use and then I just wash with warm soapy water going forward.The suction on the Haakaa is great and it stays firmly attached to your breast but it is not uncomfortable at all, in fact I barely notice it. Tip: to get an even stronger suction fold back the flange as I show in one of the pictures and then place your nipple into the center. Once your breast is in position release the flange and let it attach to your breast. I use the Haakaa everyday, more than I use my breast pumps because it's so darn easy. And as a working mama of 2 under 2 who exclusively breastfeeds our youngest, the Haakaa is a no brainer!

This haakaa manual breast pump is just about the best thing I can think of to gift a new or expecting mom who plans on breastfeeding or pumping. I haven't used mine exclusively (I do admit to having a corded pump as well) but this one has worked wonders for me, especially during night time feedings when I'm barely awake. I have always been a bit of an overproducer and it is such a blessing to be able to so efficiently catch let-down or general leakage one one side while I'm nursing on the other.What makes this particular model of the haakaa so outstanding is its suction base. Going back to my using it at night when I'm hardly conscious, it's great to be able to set it down on my nightstand and know it's not going to tip over as I stumble out of bed to put it in the fridge. The suction is great - I haven't had it topple over once. The cap is an extra welcome addition - if the suction fails, I'm pretty confident that the cap will keep the milk in. It fits like a glove.It's easy to use once you know how (haakaa does provide 'training' videos) but really it's as simple as squeeze, fold down the lip, position over breast, and allow the lip to pop back open. Such a simple product but such a huge help.

We all know and love a good Haakaa. It works great for collecting milk but the suction cup is next level! That thing is not spilling anywhere! I will say it is large and it annoying to the baby but I make it work. The lid is also a welcome addition. The four rating is for the large size that can get in the way.If you are breastfeeding and need to safe milk, it's a must have!

Haakaa is a brand we love and trust, and this product lived up to our expectations! When I nurse, I use this on the other side to catch letdowns. At the height of my output a couple months postpartum, I was able to completely fill it up to 5oz with letdowns alone! On lighter days, I at least got a couple ounces that I was able to save and store for my husband to feed her or for relatives to help. The suction can be kind of intense in the early days, but you will be thankful for the strength down the road! Just hang in there. This product is definitely worth having a few of. One little pro-tip... I keep a nice big coffee mug on my side table, and when I am not using this but it has milk in it, I set this inside of the coffee mug to hold it steady. The suction on the bottom helps, but it is easily knocked over if you are not being careful (and during middle of the night feeds, I was less than careful a few times).
