I use these rings for scrapbooking. They fit perfectly onto pages that I've punched using a filofax hole punch. It's also the perfect fit for the Studio Calico 6x8 albums I like to use.The reason for the 3 star rating is that the finish is not applied evenly and is flaking off in some parts. The rings themselves are okay, but one set of rings was very loose and did not snap shut tightly. Another set had the measurements between the rings slightly off from the others so the alignment was a bit skewed.These rings are good for the price, but not something I would use on an album I'm trying to preserve since I don't trust that they will keep things together. I just use these to hold together sticker embellishments instead. I would shop around for something that is of higher quality.
