I love the coconut substrate much better that wood shavings. My tortoise moves around much better and has more traction. It's natural and ground fine, so I don't worry so much if it gets into his food and eats some of it.

It was a LOT more than I had anticipated to be after I had soaked it, but it’s very plentiful and would definitely be a great purchase for those with larger pets.

This small brick expanded to fill half of my tank. It was easy for my turtle and the worms to burrow and move through. This is a wonderful product that does not mold.
