This split housing allows it to be take apart and the components can be replaced when worn or damaged. It solidly locks in the variety of replaceable insert faces. The faces are made of several different durable materials; from soft rubber to medium hard plastic to hard nylon. Halder also offers aluminum and copper faces for hitting very hard surfaces such as hardened steel (copper faces are only compatible with Halder Simplex with reinforced cast iron housing; call for details).

I do a lot of gunsmithing and sometimes I need a hammer that won't destroy the metal that I am working with. I used to have a Craftsman brand soft faced hammer but the plastic face mushroomed and replacing the face is a pain in the ***. I came across this one and I am extremely impressed with the customizability of it. Simply unscrew the bolt and you can put whatever material face you want.Overall, excellent quality and excellent design! Great addition to my tool chest!

So I’m kind of a tool snob and saw this brand and thought I’d try it out. I bought the 30 not really knowing what size it would be but thought it could be nice for cabinet assembly and install. It’s actually really small. And being so small and so expensive for what it is it usually just sits on my desk so I don’t lose it. Nicely built though.

Fantastic mallet for finish work. I really like the hard plastic & soft rubber options for this hammer. The narrow diameter handle takes a bit of adjustment if you are used to the IRWIN or EASTWING...but it helps to make short, controlled blows using your wrist.

Tellement content de ce maillet.Pour la pose d'agencement, ça permet de travailler en douceur et avec efficacité, et si besoin d'être utilisé en petit marteau si vous avez une seconde gomme dure.Parfait...? Presque ! C'est vraiment un petit maillet dédié à certains usage ne demandant pas de grande force,et le choix des gommes par le code xouleur est vraiment déterminant pour apprécier correctement cet outil dans votre travail 😉
