Best purchase EVER!!! I have another, full car cover a few years now, but when parking on the street, it's not quite legal to cover your license plates (you will get ticketed!) I used this one yesterday in anticipation for a storm here in Westchester, NY and my car looked as I snow never happened. YES, the six (6) hooks are secure, but METAL. I read a few reviews about needing to be careful, to avoid it hitting glass if you fling on the cover, or scrape your paint, SO, I just used mini zip baggies on each hook, and viola! You can also cover them withbthose little ballon dog booties. Woke up this morning (Feb 9th) to about a foot of snow on my SUVs roof (roof racks accumulated and hold even more snow than cars without), and I simply pulled the cover from the back. Easiest snow cleanup ever!

The comments on here complaining about the quality. Mine survived a tornado and hurricane Beryl. Yeah it took a beating and I lost a couple of clips but my car was dry!! It’s $30 come on yall! If you want a forever cover then spend more. Don’t knock this great cover with bad reviews.

I like the idea of only covering the top of my convertible to prolong the life of the top from sun damage. Makes taking on and off so much easier... but the straps that hold the top to the tires and bottom of the car need to be stronger. The clips broke in the first use and the elastic stretched out very easily. Great idea, needs better straps.

Keeps my interior bone dry from the leaking convertible top. I like the soft underside and the waterproof reflective top layer. The plastic hooks do not damage my wheels which is an added bonus. So far I've only used it in one heavy rainstorm so I'll update my review in the future on its durability. Well worth the money and not a pain to take on or off like full covers.Three and a half months update: The cover is still in one piece after several storms. Not even a single section of stitching is out of place. Well worth the money.

Not tested in weather yet, but fits 2017 Mustang GT. May need to tighten straps depending on wind, but happy for the price.

I have a 2016 Subaru Outback and live where we get lake effect snowstorm. We have to remove all snow from the car or get a ticket. I couldn't reach the top to save my life. It has a rack on top and snowbrushes can't clear it off. This cover completely covers the roof,glass and allows me to pull off the snow easily, even with many inches. One pull of the cover and my car is safe to drive. I will see how long it holds up,but so far,so good!
