Was skeptical about going through the work of dropping this in a 500ft well, but I have a smaller pump of the same brand in a 52ft irrigation well- it shoots water like a fire hose (I even ran it dry for a day and its still going) so I went for it and could not be more pleased. Plenty of pressure and flow, it works circles around the 220V jacuzzi pump I replaced with and on half the electricity. I do hover between 40-100ft static water, so that probably helps.

Price and quality is GREAT! Only small detail i did not like is that the description states that a CHECK valve is included. However, after unboxing it states in RED bold letters that i will have to buy a check valve. It is slightly irritating due to not having water and hoping this was the last purchase id have to make. Unfortunately ill have to purchase and order a check valve to complete the pump. That info would had been great to know so i could have ordered both parts at the same time.

Overall very easy to assemble and install. The wires used on mine were not standard colors but at least the ground had a tag on it. The instructions were poorly written (very clearly ESL) and were contrary to some of the specifics about the pump (i.e. stating that this specific model was a 3 wire pump and did not have a ground wire included, when in reality it is a 2-wire pump with a ground). Otherwise install was great. The pump is working well so far. We drilled our own well and are just using this as a sacrificial pump to clean out everything before throwing a nicer one in there. Not sure I would trust this as our primary pump long term but it seems to be working well right now. I'm able to run it off a 3500 watt generator and when the pump first starts up, the generator struggles a lot. I wouldn't recommend trying to run this pump off any smaller generator than that.

Bought this regardless of some negative reviews. Added check valve directly to output. I waited to review after using for a while. I have had it at 140 feet for over a year now and it keeps going strong. Even if it lasts only another 6 months it was definitely worth it for a cheap fix! It pushes around 18 gallons per minute

Pump is a nice size, smaller diameter which allowed it to fit down the well.

After two months of usage the check valve failed so had to install one before the pressure tank. Otherwise runs good.
