A rat can't bite through these gloves, but they are stiff, so I couldn't actually pick the rat up with them. If you need dexterity these won't work, but they will save your fingers from a bite.

I do wildlife rescue and rescued an Osprey yesterday. He held on tightly to my gloved hands with his talons and they did not penetrate through the gloves. My only complaint... My hands are small and these affect my ability to grasp items like I'd like to.

As a chicken keeper I got these in the inevitable event I needed to move a snake. Today they got tested with a young, maybe 2 foot long nonvenoumous buttermilk racer. The snake bit right through them. If this was a larger snake or more a dangerous species, trusting these gloves would have been a monumental mistake.
