It's okay as a perch. The swing/toy on top of the pole becomes an either or type selection. If you bring the swing closer to the perch, the toy becomes inaccessible and vice versa. The food tray is small in diameter and deep.

Super easy to assemble and sturdy. My parakeets love the little dishes - I put treats and water in them for when they're out playing. One bad thing is that they are not fond of the metal pan at the bottom, but it's not attached so I just don't use it.

Really easy to set up! And super cute to look at. Unfortunately our bird hated it so we had to return it.

I'm not giving this a low review, only an average one, because it looks exactly as pictured. But, what you should know is that you're paying for maybe $1 in materials and that is pushing it.Arrived with hardware loose in box, comes with a little screwdriver and some machine screws with the two main support dowels predrilled to accept these. The pan is not solid at all, think more of some sort of disposable aluminum tray. It is VERY thin and flimsy, I dented it by knocking it against the trashcan to dump stuff. The two cups arrived attached to a clip which fastens onto a dowel. It was not in the orientation pictured, and I would have had to disassemble it to get it that way, trying to force it would bend it. So, I left it as is, and just clipped to the horizontal bar, instead of the vertical.Overall, should work fine, but it wouldn't be hard to build something better for much less money. The toys supplied were nice.

It is lighter than I expected but with a couple of food bowls on the tray it should be fine.
