This makes perfect zoodles!! It’s pretty easy to use and makes quick work of the zucchini. I bought it because I wanted something that didn’t require hand cranking or winding. This has several parts but they are pretty easy to put together and operate. Cleaning the grater is a chore but how could it not be? The machine comes with a cleaning tool which helps but you should clean the grater right away or else the residue will dry and get stuck! Overall, this was absolutely worth the cost and cleanup because I use it at least twice a week!

I've had many of these over the years and I always end up donating them. The non-electric ones often use suction cups to hold it in place. So I have to crank or spin AND hold the unit in place. With this unit, however, everything just works. It's small. It's fast. It does a great job without moving. just feed the vegetables slowly, that's normal. It has a small footprint. All the parts store inside the canister. I love it. As I wrote, it's the best one yet after having tests tons of them. Size, ease of operation, storage, all great.Amazon did a great job, as usual, getting it to me. It's been a great company to do business with for many years, and NO, I am not employed by them. I don't even know anyone who is, nor do I own their stock. I don't even know if they're traded. But Amazon clearly values competence and efficiency above all else. That makes happy (return/repeat) customers like me. So there.

I used to make a lot of spiralized veggies, using my Paderno manual, horizontal spiralizer. I gave up after a while because it's not easy to use unless you have short, perfectly straight veggies. It's also not super easy to clean, and makes a mess on the countertop.I've recently started craving zoodles again :) so I went on the hunt for something easier to use, figuring that by now, they should have optimized the process. Saw this electric, vertical one, figured it was cheap enough to try.I only got it yesterday, so I've only used it once, today, to make zucchini and carrot noodles. And oh my, holy zoodle, it was SO.EASY and seamless.First, assembly is very, very easy and only takes a few seconds. Then I ran my (big) zucchini through it and ended up with perfect zoodles in a minute. No effort at all. Just put it in the chute, press the pusher into it (lightly), push the button once, and down it goes into the bowl in perfect zoodles. No half moons either. Then I did two carrots. So that was a little less perfect because they weren't thick enough (you want the thick and straight ones to spiralize, I only had long, thin(ish), cone-shape ones). But I cut them in half and only spiralized the thickest half, and they came out great. Having a free hand means I was also able to munch on the other half in the meantime. They did take more time than the zucchini because they're not as soft. But all in all it took less than 5 minutes total. The only con is the size of the leftover core. Bigger than with the Paderno, but a funnier shape. I'll just roast them with my dish and use them as decoration. Or cut them up and add them to a salad. I'd throw them in a soup if I were making one today.Washing was also very easy and quick. I did use a little brush that came with another appliance. You could use a toothbrush.Compared to the Paderno, this was so much easier, comfortable and fast. No hand hurting because you have to awkwardly hold the veggie while pushing it with the same hand and cranking with the other. No awkward cuts (half moons) because your zucchini isn't perfectly straight and centered. No zoodles and bits on the countertop. Cleaning is also much, much easier.I'd probably still use the Paderno for some things. Like veggies too big to fit the HB (beets) or to soft to be spiralized from the side (bell peppers), or too hard for the HB power (not sure what, maybe winter squashes). Or when I want a finer cut (wish there was one on the HB).

*Update 2 - I am really enjoying the Hamilton Beach Spiralizer. The more I play with it, the more I love it. I recently made hash browns. I spiralized 2 russet potatoes, added a little oil and seasoning and baked at 425 for 15 minutes - delicious.I also made a yummy noodle salad of zucchini, peppers, onions and carrots. We are eating a lot more veggies. I am enjoying it so much, I’m upgrading my review to 5 stars.*Update - I made sweet potato egg nests. The sweet potato had to be cut to fit the spiralizer but the strands came out beautifully. The egg nests were delicious.*I tried several electric spiralizer before getting this one. An attachment for my famous brand mixer - was a pain to use. Another electric spiralizer had a cheap feel to it and didn’t work that well. This one works but with caveats. If you like zoodles and want to spiralize them yourself, you will enjoy the ease of making them with this Hamilton Beach Spiralizer. It does spiralize zucchini perfectly. But it did not work well on apples or onions. Some folks have marked it down for only having 3 cones. The booklet shows 4 cones but this unit the 3 in 1 only has 3. There was a unit that came with 4 that was exclusive to a major retailer that has since gone out of business. This unit has 3 noodle cones. The noodle cones are different in size but there is not a major difference. I would have preferred a slim and wider noodle. The product description says it makes curly fries. While I did get it to spiralize a potato, the noodles from either of the noodle shaped cones were too thin for French fries unless you like really thin, crispy fries. It did a great job of making ribbons from a cucumber which I used in a salad. The ribbons were long so next time I will cut them in half.I still have some playing with it to do. But I am disappointed in the no curly fries or apple ribbons. So I will have to decide if the zucchini and other fruit and veggie items that can be spiralized with it are worth it.

I used this once and it worked great. A month later, I went to use it again and it won't turn on.

I like this product because I was looking for a way to cut out pasta using veggies. Is electric, to easy to use.Is dishwasher safe (top rack) comes w cleaning brush to get food out of blades if some gets stuck.Stacks within itself to store.Makes perfect spiralized veggies/fruits.Next is durability, but hard to tell until enough time has gone by to see how it stands up. I wonder if blades would dull at some point from use, and whether or not they would sell replacements. If Yes, I would say go for it!

I had bought this electric vegetable spiralizer which is so easy to put together and use. There are 3 different blades which I've already used 2 on my zucchini pasta. It took no time to slice up the vegetable into the container. All pieced come apart and can easily be washed and put back. This saved me time as I used to use a manual cutter, which was not pleasant. I'm glad to have purchased this one model. Not too bulky, fits on the countertop easily.
