I love this house. And my mouse loves it too. Unless you have a dwarf or Russian hamster, I would not recommend this for hamsters as the holes are a bit small for them. This is perfect for my mouse, though. The house came disassembled, but was very easy to clip together. Does need a bit of force to wiggle the pieces into the correct place. I like that you can put it together yourself because then it is relatively easy to disassemble for cleaning of the inside. The wood has a lacquer finish on it that makes cleaning very easy. It has been set up in the tank for a few months and my mouse has not seemed interested in chewing on it which is good. It’s a great size and she loves the patio and multiple hiding areas of the house. 10/10 would but again

I have never left an Amazon review but I’ve had this house for a little over a month and I assembled it perfectly as it is very easy and self-explanatory.WARNING: I just checked on my hamster because I noticed I hadn’t heard him on his wheel or anything in a while and he was sadly hanging by his foot from the balcony of this little house and I had to frantically open the cage and try to pry him out of it while he was biting me and squirming around to break free.It looks like his foot/leg is mangled and he might have even tried to chew his own leg off because there blood all over the spot where he was stuck and I reckon my hamster will be dead by morning.Good intentions, bad carry out with the design of this house. Do not recommend!

Our hamster donut loves her hamster house. It was a bit tricky to assemble but once it’s together it’s great. We love that our hamster will watch us from the balcony when she wants to be picked up. Fits great with the wooden cage and wooden wheel setup.

This was nice, easy to put together, cozy. Both of my hamster babies love theirs. I got them separate ones of course. It's pretty sturdy for a wooden hamster house of this quality.

This little house is totally adorable and the wood is nice and sturdy, but it literally took me over half an hour to assemble it and some of the cutouts were slightly off so it didn't fit together perfectly. But - I was able to get it to stay together and my pet mice are using it, so I guess it was a success.

I got this for my mouse and yes it was easy to put together but 2 holes were in the wrong place so the whole thing looks loose. I can't exactly return it so I have no choice but to keep it anyway. I feel like this doesn't always happen but that I was one of the unlucky ones. I still like it but wouldn't buy another just because what if. other than that its smooth and looks cute.Edit, I was completely wrong and stupid it works just fine. Its weird since the instructions are pictures so look out for that.

These have a smooth finish that I should have primed before painting, but my project turned out fine anyway. I thought the paint might get a roughed up "rustic" look to it, but after a couple seasons outdoors as a garden ornament it's held up.

So I ordered this item for my dwarf hamsters because I thought it was super cute and they definitely do enjoy using it, however, I will say that I do not recommend this item. On two occassions now my hamster has actually gotten their legs stuck between the railings on the house. The way the pieces fit together there are small spaces between each panel of the railing. My hamster's leg got caught in between those panels. We were lucky we were there both times, but this most recent time it actually broke skin. Thankfully it doesn't seem like the leg is broken, but it is a serious danger. I have removed all the railings from the top of the house. Really do not recommend, super unsafe. If you insist on getting it, do not use the railings on the balcony.
