This worked so well after Miss Piggie had her eye removal surgery! I had a hard time finding a cone that fit her and actually kept her from scratching, and I'm so thankful I came across this one. The drawstring was a life saver and the material didn't irritate her skin. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat!

These are not for rabbits, so please don't get for them. They work for hamsters and guinea pigs, but you have to tape smaller for BOTH species. My vet had these, but they're a better deal here.

Tried it on my 2 year old ferrets it does not fit too well and they easily take it off. also the cone is pretty short and flimsy defeats the purpose. It will be going to the trash.

My little man is mad at me for this, but it's what had to be done. It would be nice if the cone was stiff with something inside the fabric since Gobbles has a hard time walking without it being under his feet. It's been a minute since he's been weighed but he should be about 600g if not more and technically the cone was the right size, but the Velcro was too far apart. Stick it more sturdily and I worried he'd choke, but with the way I had to stick it, there were only the edges holding and he got it off himself. I sewed button snaps where it would ideally fit him and now the cone works perfectly.TL;DR — If you have a 600g+ rat, this cone works (if you don't mind taking the time to sew some snap buttons on)

Unfortunately, my rat was able to slip this off pretty easily after a tumor removal surgery. The cone itself did stop her from accessing the incision (front right arm pit), but it wasn't small enough to keep her from getting it off. She's an average size for a female rat at 17 oz, so this may work for males or other larger small mammals.She was able to eat and drink with this on because it's soft. However, she still hated it as all animals do.I'm still giving this three stars because it works well outside of being a touch too big. It feels durable so I'll definitely be keeping it for future use on bigger animals.

It looks cute and the size looked like it was perfect for my ferret. The materialIs easy to clean and it’s lightweight.The down side is the reason why I had to return it- my ferret kept slipping it off. It wouldn’t stay put and the string that is on it, if you pull it too much there’s this loop that your pet can get caught in. Great idea but around the base, being no slip resistant material like rubber like they make on cats and dog cones, I wasn’t able to successfully use it.

An older house rabbit scratched his eye playing or on an errant piece of hay. Taken to Urgent Care, diagnosed and given meds. Very good prognosis. But he needed to wear a soft cone of shame for ten days to prevent himself from accidently re-injuring his eye when grooming with front paws. A soft cone was provided by the vet.We needed extra soft cones and decided to check Amazon and found several options with fast delivery.We are very glad to have found this product (and another fruit shaped one). We ordered both yellow and pink. The rabbit can't groom his face with front paws. He can awackwardly get to his hind end. Occasionally the soft cones get smeared with cecal pellets but they are easy to wash.Note: The injured house rabbit was put in ex-pen for 48-hours until both house rabbits got used to vet cone and this one. The injured rabbit low key panicked and ran around too much. His mate also tried chewing it off. Very importantly they could see and interact with each other when temporarily separated.
