When I went to the big box chain pet stores, there was only one water bottle NOT for a wire cage, which worked miserably in the aquarium. So when I came across this free-standing water bottle, I had to try it for him.It is so much better than the other one because it’s not attached to the wire mesh lid which made it difficult to fill and to feed him as well. This water bottle even has a little hideout, which rodents love. My guy hasn’t used it for sleeping, but I do see his bedding in there. I also like that the height of the water bottle is adjustable.I am very pleased to have found such a handy water bottle for him and thereby also making it easier for me to take care of his needs. I would definitely recommend it.

The quality is good, but the item tips over way too easily. I only had it in the cage for 10 minutes and it was on it's side. Unfortunately, the item is unusable

The tree looks nice and I like the extra hideout, but my hamster goes inside and chews on the green part of the bottle. It's not the sellers fault, but I wish there was a way to make it non chewable. We'll see how long the bottle lasts.

This is very cute. Great size. Made of ceramic so it won’t get chewed up! Comes with a small water bottle that fits inside the top and leaves room for them to hide under. 2 hole options for the water tip for your choice of height preference.

In theory this is a cute way to have a stand alone for my hammie but I JUST filled it less than an hour (!) ago and it's constantly dripping/almost empty. I'm SO glad I tested it out first, without putting it in his cage, because it's totally true it would be empty before my hammie even wakes up and becomes active. Given that the ceramic also "hides" the bottle, it would be impossible to tell how much the bottle is leaking, so quickly, had I just put it in his enclosure. Again, glad I did a test run so my little guy didn't end up going over 24 hrs without water. Very disappointing that it's just not functional.

My hamster constantly tips it over, crawls in it, and pushes the water bottle out. It falls out easily every time. Incredibly noisy as well as my hamster slams it into the glass. If you have a calm hamster, then yes this is good. I thought mine was calm but it just constantly pushes the bottle out through the top. Wish the little hideaway compartment was separate from where the water bottle rests so it actually could stay in place.
