This bell is not only attractive, but the sound resonates into a nice sounding ring. Purchased for a bedside table for someone who is bed-ridden, and I just couldn't hear them all the time when they needed anything. It's a pretty bell, brass with a wooden handle, and looked nice on the bedside table. It's not a clanking bell, but a clear, nice sound. Sorry, don't know how to describe a sound but it has a good tone. I'm sure if I were to go outside and ring this, people would be able to hear it many houses away when you ring it hard, but it has just the right 'softness' ring tone when it is gently rung inside the house.

The bell is great !!!My wife is gonna have surgery and will be bedridden so I got her the bell , to ring it whenever she needed something. Well she rang it and I went to her room and said “you rang†like Lurch said n the Adam’s Family definitely loud enough.

I bought this bell for the playground. It alerts the students when it is time to line up. This bell has a nice loud and clear sound. My students easily hear the bell even at the farthest point of the playground. The price was good compared with other similar bells. The quality is very good. This bell should last for many years. This was a good purchase!

we need something more substantial, this would be great for a school yard or other outside bell ringing need, maybe elderly, it's light and the sound isn't too piercingly loud. Good value, we just need a larger more prominent bell ringing bell.

I bought this bell for an elderly relative. My main concern was, is it going to be loud enough. Happy to say it is loud and clear. Very pleased with this purchase. A real bargain.

Solid design and feel. Takes a couple of practices to get the right angle to jingle it, but then it can be quite loud.
