It was what I hoped for to groom my horse winter coat. She is the only one that takes longer to shed and it gets in knots. It worked much better than all the other grooming combing tools! Plus it fits perfect in pocket and I am ordering another one in case I lose it because I can’t be without it now.

My rescue pup’s Pyrenees’ genes are incredibly strong. Monthly furminator shampoo baths, nightly coat raking, undercoat combs and countless pet hair-cleaning tools are no match for his shedding. I feel like this tool actually works to manage his undercoat. This is how much hair I collect AFTER a thorough brush out with his normal tools. I use it 1-2x per week.

This stripping blade is extremely sharp. It works great to get knotted up fur loose. I had to be very careful though, because this could easily have cut my animal or myself. Once I used it for a little while, though, I got the knack of how to use it easily and smoothly.It fits awkward at first in your hand. But again on that, it just took me a little bit of practicing with it to learn how to hold it in a way that made the work easy to do. I don’t know how this could be a shedding tool for a dog, at least, because It shaves and cuts more than it de-sheds.

I prefer to use this mane knife over cutting with scissors and pulling. I’m able to use a comb to push the shorter pieces back and then cut with the knife to shorten the mane. Love it!

First it was very hard to get open. I was not impressed with how dull it was and did not remove any of the bot eggs.
