I got these for my classroom and my kids love them! They are able to build words and practice CVC and sight words too!

My new favorite teaching tool! Well constructed and durable.

Our school district recently adopted UFLI. It is a fantastic program however, you do have to make your blending boards. It can be a lot of work. I decided to look and see what I could find that maybe helpful to me and that’s when I stumbled upon these. I am familiar with Hand2Mind and love the products I currently teach with. As I was looking these up, I noticed that they had a lot of the vowel teams that dip songs and many other letters that could be used. Each pack comes in its own individual Ziploc bag and you have everything you need to go on the blending board and the colors match almost perfectly. I would highly recommend these for anybody who needs to make blending boards, but does not have the time to create them themselves.

I love the letter tiles. I use the letter tiles to make my students build different words with the spelling patterns we are learning.

These are fabulous for teachers or home schooling! They have thought of everything with this set.First of all, the magnets are magical. I have used phonics sets like these before, but they were not magnetic, and the “whole back” magnet is totally a game changer! Hardly any mess or muss…the magnets stick to the board, and pieces aren’t all over the table, all over the floor! This is huge, because everyone who teaches knows little ones will get conventional (sets with no magnet) sets all over, and mix up the sets, making it a challenge to keep everything separate, and making clean up time much longer. Not with these!There are also included foam frames, that I recommend you keeping, so you can have little ones “snap” all the pieces back in to keep the set organized and so you can tell at-a-glance if any are missing. This is so much easier for tracking! (I also recommend using a fine tip sharpie in the lefthand corner, because that’s how we read, from left to right, to assign each bag with a number, and the pieces/frame with the same number, so that little ones can definitely “match” track which pieces go to each set.) Clean up is a piece of cake for sure, since I have done this!Give each child a magnet board, and one of the six nicely packaged “to go” bags with everything they need to make words, and they are good to go, AND so TOTALLY engaged! My preschoolers were all about these, and love practice sounding letters out, trying to make their own words.These are also fantastic, because in states like mine they are finally recognizing the importance of teaching phonics to help students with learning how to read! So these adorable little magnetic tiles are actually perfectly inexpensive ways to introduce evidence-based approaches to help little ones learn to practice phonics skills and create words of their own, since children learn through play and hands-on experiences. (Celebrate good times….!)This set is actually a class pack, which means you get six sets…perfect for small group learning, in a nice sturdy and durable plastic Ziploc-slider that makes clean-up so easy. Each set contains 97 pieces, enough pieces to make a whole lot of words and then some! There are lots of beginning, ending sounds, consonants, vowels, perfect for both beginning and expert learners. There are even hearts to substitute for vowel or consonant sounds that you can use to play games with. Plus, these are color coded, which helps children learn the differences between beginning and ending sounds, consonants, vowels, etc. How I used these was to put the heart in a space with a letter I wanted them to find, so for example I put the heart in front of the letters *at, then I had them look for consonants they could add to make the word. (Cat, mat, fat, bat, etc.) The students that were more experienced with the letters had a blast with this game!The pieces are easy for little ones to hold, use, and put away, so what’s not to love? Perfect for students, teachers, reading specialists…anyone who wants to work with little ones to support learning phonics skills, and an essential tools for anyone learning to read. (I definitely think that if you want to work with your child at home this is also useful because you can combine the packs to make even more words.) These are a must for my little ones and could be the very cool learning tool that you and your little ones could be looking for!

To be completely honest I ordered this for my child. She is 3 and non speaking autistic. So I am not using this set in the way it was intended, it's a bit advanced for her and I am not using it with multiple students.However, what drew me to this set is that combining all 6 sets gives us a lot of letters and letter combinations to work with, as opposed to your standard fridge magnet letters. My daughter knows her letters and I think she knows how to spell some words, but it is hard to figure out just what she knows as she doesn't speak. So I am using this set to, first off, see what my daughter might know how to spell, but also potentially to facilitate communication with her in the future. I only explain this to illustrate that I am not really using this as intended so your experience may be different than mine.That being said I very much like this set. The letters are a very soft foam, they feel nice to the touch. There is a small but good weight to them. Everything feels like good quality, which I would expect from an item intended for young students. I don't know yet that these will work for my daughter, but if you are looking for something tactile to work with students or even just your own early reader at home I think this set will provide a lot of value. I have tried other products by this brand and I have always been happy with the quality.
