I bought this for the beautiful wood carving which it has but we need to make some modifications to make it useful. The iPad chord at the bottom does not have adequate room and the front wood piece covers the iPad button. So we will add something to raise the iPad a bit and a few corner brackets to help stabilize it. We like it that much that we are going to this trouble to keep it.

I wanted this bad. I loved the look online. Then it came and the back stand broke right off the minute I took it out of the package. For this price?!?! What a waste. Unacceptable.

I was very excited to receive this as a Christmas gift from my wish list, but it arrived with the box completely smashed like something very heavy had fallen on it. No problem, as long as the book stand was ok. It wasn't. The bottom lip had been forced upwards and a rusty nail was sticking out of it. I am handy, but it was so warped I couldn't realign the wood or get the nail back in.I called customer service and they checked with the company and they sent a replacement. THANK YOU- I really appreciate how easy that was (not just Amazon, but what Amazon can do depends on what the company allows). Not only did I get the replacement very quickly, it was gift wrapped, which honestly blew me away.While I really appreciate the amazing customer service of this company, I was sad to open the pristine outer box and find that there were 2 not-so minor flaws on the replacement. This is what is pictured:There is a large crack/gap in the lip and the back stand does not align correctly with the stand-catch. I have tried moving it into correct alignment, but if I try to force it more the wood will snap, so it is made incorrectly.The book stand is still functional, but for over $30 this lack of quality is extremely disappointing. I think these make beautiful gifts, but based on my experience as a recipient I would never order this for someone else. Again, thank you for the excellent customer service, but please look into higher quality wood and quality control.
