The way to insert a 9V battery
Please follow below steps to install the battery.
1) Open the battery cover.
2) Find the + - electrode of the battery based on left photo and insert correctly.
3) Close the battery cover, press the power button (red color) , metal detector will be on.

I use a lot of pallet wood for projects and this is great for finding nail heads, just make sure you turn the sensitivity off

Sensitive enough to detect the knife in my pocket, and a finishing nail in the trim around my window. We'll use it for our sawmill to find nails in logs before milling.

Not a good product. The beep sound continues for log time. Red switch doesn't work. No battery and charger provided.
