I'd never seen these before, but they're much nicer than staples. Easy to attach, doesn't make holes or any distortion of you documents. It's like a binder clip without the 'handles'. You use the tool to attach them. There are no instructions included, so if this is new to you too, read and copy the instructions from the Amazon page. Highly recommended for any office.

Clips frequently fail to align with paper being bound, resulting in damaged, sloppy edges. Clips also regularly fail to feed properly, and get stuck in the shaft of the tool. It is then a nuisance, and sometimes difficult to get them to realign so they can actually be used. Not a good tool to use if you frequently need to use this type of document clip.
