Highly recommended. Be sure to mount these into the framing studs for best performance. The bracket will not fail; it will be what it is being secured to.

Good things:- Very sturdy and well made.- They look good yet don't over-power the look of the handrail with their size.- They hold the rail farther from the wall than the "standard" cheap railing brackets.- Comes in a set of 4.- I would purchase again.Not so good things:- Arrived scratched up. Even though they were individually bubble wrapped one of them was scratched up to the point where I had to paint it. Given the way that the brackets are packed, it's likely that they were damaged before they were wrapped. I just painted the scratched one with some flat black spray paint rather than return and re-order.- The hardware is not as sturdy as the brackets are. I ended up using molly - type of hollow wall anchors instead of the lighter duty plastic insert type of hollow wall anchor. I was also able to put a bracket on a stud and used a longer screw than was provided to ensure that I had more bite into the stud than the 1" supplied screws. (3/16" bracket + 5/8" drywall = 3/16" bite into the stud = not good enough for me). If your screw color isn't black just use a black permanent marker to make them that color.

Mounts look nice and are very sturdy. They had some nice long screws however, they did not send enough to mount all 4 brackets. I could use some of the shorter screws but the heads do not match. if hardware is included, there should be enough to mount all 4 brackets.

I am using these on the ramp to an outdoor pavilion. These are easy to install and works great with our decor. All of the brackets we have on the pavilion are the same color. They are pretty stable and strong. We used cedar and really like the result.

Purchased items and received undamaged package with a scratched product. These were deep scratches into the metal. Returned product and received second delivery with same issue. Not a quality product for the price.

Current price point at the time/date of this review: $31.99 with no discount/coupon being offered. Pricing is generally fair and well within the market going rate.Made of good quality heavy duty materials and grade design. Can hold a good amount and I would worry more about the fasteners either failing or tearing out before I would even think the bracket should.Make sure you install it in to a stud if you can, sink at least one of the screws into it, and mount the others in an appropriate and as sturdy a manner as possible.Comes in a relatively small size and generally does its thing well. Not bad but I would’ve appreciated one additional pre-drilled hole within the mounting base.

I wanted to add a railing to a stairwell in the basement. These mounts are all metla and are finished nicely. All holes are drilled cleanly and provide a solid connection to the wall. Just choose your hand rail and you can achieve a nice rhand rail! Comes with anchors and screws as well!

Screws don't fit properly and there are no instructions as well as bunch of plastic pieces that don't fit anywhere either.
