Plastic is extremely thin and I don't see it lasting long with outdoor temperatures or typical rabbit play. The metal food bowl is a good addition and will come in handy. It's not easy to clean and can't go in the dishwasher, so be prepared to scrub by hand.

These hanging water and feeders felt flimsy and cheap. But they were easy to assemble and worked well. I probably wouldn't purchase again, because I need a heavier feeling feeder/waterer for my rabbits. But for someone with a smaller breed bunny, these work extremely well.

This set is good quality for the price, but make sure you have the style of cage with vertical bars that is depicted in the photographs on the product page. We have a guinea pig cage with primarily horizontal bars and these don't fit properly without cutting some of the bars, which I don't want to do. We are still able to use the water dish by just placing it inside the cage because our guinea pigs aren't particularly aggressive and dragging food/water dishes around, but if you have rabbits that are more known for dragging bowls all over their hutch, that won't work for you.If you have the right type of cage/hutch, this is a good product that helps with having food/water supply without having to change it out quite as often. However, if you don't have the style of cage depicted in the photos, look elsewhere.

The product arrived well packaged. 1 of the 'nuts' to hold the bowl in place was missing, but I will use some bailing wire to hold it onto the rabbit cage. The plastic of all of the pieces is very thnin so this would definately be for inside use only because the sun would destroy all of this in a matter of a few weeks. The description states that it is an 'automatic' feeder, but that is a bit deceptive. The feeder has a chute that enables you to put the feed in from the outside and then fall to a bowl in the inside of the cage, but in no way is there an 'automated' feature. If you are lucky enough to get all of the pieces then I think this would be an 'ok' buy for the money if you have an inside small pet.

I was hoping to use this on my bird cage. Unfortunately, the wire bars of my cage are too close together. Both the food and water dispenser pieces are too big to slide in between the bars. These might work for larger bird cages, like macaws, where the bars are further apart.

I would recommend this product for a bird cage or something small like a rabbit. It is convenient because it is small and easy to put together, but it would not be large enough for a dog cage or something like that.
