I purchased a new one and installed it but it also leaked so I called the factory for help. They quickly got me up and running. First my wall nipple extended beyond requirement of 5/8 in. When corrected the black gasket will allow the cover plate to snap in place.

This replaced an older version with the elbow needing to be inserted into a female pipe actually inside the finished wall. Difficult to plan and pre-mount when you don't know the final thickness of the surface. This new version takes the male pipe outside the wall surface and makes it so much easier to install.

The plastic cover of this wall outlet is a piece of junk. It's so hard to make this plastic piece flush to the wall with the rubber gasket it comes with. Don't waste your money on a piece of junk like this. All the other items I have bought from Hansgrohe were very good so I don't know how they could design something like this. Why can't they make this piece metal & screw directly onto the nipple on the wall. Can somebody tell me where I can purchase a good wall outlet that is not made of plastic & comes in brused nickle?

I like the dual check valve idea, but can’t get my head around a $90 elbow that is mostly made of nickel plated plastic. This is a 3 piece design - with a large opening for water and gunk to collect.Returned it.
