I wasnt completely convinced of ordering this collar because is a rather unknown brand at a fraction of the price of better known ones. But took the chance and I am happily surprised. Excellent craftmanship and after a few field trips with my 800mm, I can assure is very solid and first class

I ordered it because I needed a Swiss-Arca equipped foot for my Nikon 800mm PF/Z9 set up. I was thinking I’d use it until the RRS or Kirk became available. I’ve now been using it in the field for several weeks and I have to say that I’m really happy with it. The only negative I found was that the small travel restriction screws needed some Loctite. Also, the grip although mostly free of hard edges, was a little slippery when carrying the lens by the rail. I picked up some non-skid adhesive backed tread from a West Marine store and added it to the top of the foot. Now it’s comfortably grippy. It was less than half the cost of the other makes, but it appears to do everything I need it to. So I’m keeping it. The only unknown right now is if it will allow me to balance the lens/camera on my gimbal mount if I add a teleconverter. I'm reasonably sure that it will.

I thought the build quality was ok. Not easy to carry using the foot but OK. The ~2 months after my purchase and usage. The QD insert ring fell out with my 600mm TC lens and Z9 attached! Luckily I had my hand under the lens and caught it before it crashed to the ground.Would not buy again. Run away

Update#2: Haoge sent me a replacement foot. It looks good, and I appreciate the customer service, BUT only time will tell if the QD is strong enough. It is recommended to use the QD with a backup safety strap .see pics for my configuration . Been raised the rating from 1 to 3 stars only due to the customer service not for product long term review . My final words: If you plan NOT to use the QD it is good value foot, but if you do plan to use the QD you should use safety or consider more expensive options ( I recommend to use safety on any foot from any manufacturer anyway btw)UPDATE: after 3 months of use the QD socket been pulled out of it place. It is very disappointing because the product seems to be of very good value initially…See below my original description:Using it on the Nikon 800mm pf for a month now. Been great so far. Not padded and comfortable as the original Nikon, but comfortable enough. The QD socket is good option which I use daily . Much cheaper than some alternatives (which I didn’t have the chance to use) .
