Quick Release System
Designed with Arca-compatible dovetail, photographer could set up camera and lens quickly.

Improves Lens Balance
The ring secures your lens to the camera's tripod.

Thumbscrews Tighten And Loosen Ring
Having thumbscrews control the ring make it easy to adjust the tripod ring on the go.

Gives Your Camera Setup Better Balance
The ring adds stability to your camera and lens. Due to its weight, when the lens is mounted with a camera on a tripod, the center of gravity is shifted to the lens. The ring attaches to the tripod and can be shifted to adjust the balance.

Rotation
Having the camera secured with a ring around the lens makes it possible to rotate the lens between landscape and portrait modes without removing the camera from the tripod. The friction thumbscrews can then be tightened to secure the camera in the desired position.

This new collar is a great substitute for the Nikon ring. It is sturdy and well built. The Arca Swiss foot plate is a game changer, allowing quick tripod mounting. Before this ring, I had to mount a smaller A-S plate mounted on the foot, making the lens a bit awkward. The screw holds the collar in place and is machined well. Definitely worth the price.

Solves two problems: Omits the need for a separate Arca Swiss plate when attaching to an Arca Swiss tripod/monopod head. There's a few inches of length to better balance the camera and lens.Build quality is very good, consistent with the price. I wish I'd known about this earlier.

This is not a bad collar for the money, especially considering Nikon doesn’t include an Arca foot on any of its lenses. The name brand collars cost $225 so for $65, why not give this Chinese brand a try.In terms of construction it is well made. It is solid, the knob is sturdy and the foot is secure. It easily attaches to the lens and functions as it should, though I did find I had to loosen the knob a little more than on the Nikon factory collar. This collar didn’t rotate as smoothly as the Nikon collar. It wasn’t scratching the lens barrel, but it wasn’t rotating too smoothly. Is this an issue? Ask yourself these questions: How often do I actually rotate the lens? How badly do I want/need an Arca plate? Is smoothness worth $160 more? Do I want to impress people with a name brand collar?

All my tripod heads have Arca-Swiss clamps, so I had to find a solution to replace or accessorize the original 1/4"-screw-hole-only lens collar Nikon provided in the box. I am glad I found this Haoge LMR-N25 and gave it a try. I am happy with it. The build quality and the choice of materials are comparable to the original. Haoge LMR-N25 is slightly heavier by 14 grams or 0.5 ounces (but not a real issue since the lightest Arca-Swiss plate I own is ~1 oz anyway). Haoge's Arca-Swiss rail (the foot part) comes with stop screws preventing the camera and lens from accidentally sliding off the tripod. The distance between the screws is three inches, which in my case allows for about one and a half inches of sliding back and forth when used on and about an inch when mounted on .Like a few other reviewers, I also noticed that changing the camera orientation between landscape and portrait is not as smooth as with the original Nikon's lens collar. Still, it is a minor gripe as I rarely do so anyway.I would recommend this product.

I usually find that OEM products are better than off-brand ones, but not in this case. The Nikon lens collar for my 200-500mm lens, while it is solidly built, just never felt right to me. The tightening knob was really hard to loosen. And even when it was tightened up all the way, the collar would still rotate with minimal contact. The Haoge collar is so much better since the tightening knob does its job. When it's tight, the collar won't move. And when I want the collar to move, it's really easy to loosen the knob. I can't speak for how the rotation compares to other higher end collars, but it's smooth enough for me and seems just as smooth or smoother than the Nikon one.Add in the fact that it's Arca Swiss compatible with no other attachments, and we've got a winner!

If this said Nikon on it, I'd be surprised if anyone questioned it. People have mentioned the resistance of turning the lens inside the collar, but it works great for me. It requires just the smallest effort to make sure it's all the way on the lens barrel, but we're talking an extra fraction of a millimeter. It weighs an absolute ton, but it's great handle when you need it to be, and it's so nice to use on my gimbal without worrying about adapter plates.

If you are looking here you already know that Nikon does not sell a replacement collar for the 200-500. When the knurled knob on the adjusting screw on my collar broke I had to find a replacement and fast, This collar did the trick nicely. It is sturdy, fits well, and was easy to place. It has remained snug with no need for adjustment. One negative note. If you like to quickly adjust from landscape to portrait by loosening the collar and pivoting the camera you may want to pay the additional money for a Really Right Stuff 200-500 collar. The only shortfall I see in this one is that the pivot from LS to port and back is not as fluid as I would like. One comical note: Amazon asked me to rate this collar for "sheerness". Not sure why anyone would care about that but if you do, it is not sheer. ;)

アルカスイスタイプの雲台に統一したため手持ちのときにジャマだったりしたアルカタイププレートが不要で使えるので良い

The replacement tripod foot works quite well and is very well made. It is much better than the Nikon version and also the other replacement fooot made by I-Shoot. The rotation is slightly rough but much better than the I-Shoot.

This lens collar replacement for the Nikon 200-500mm is actually better than the original and was delivered ahead of time, for a very reasonable price! Highly recommended. (BTW, this is my very first user -- and maybe last! -- review on Amazon.)
