Beautiful slices! Perfect size, easy to assemble, sturdy and convenient bag that all the pieces stack up nicely for neat storage. Adjustable for different widths, tall sides makes for precise slicing, and rubber feet holds unit in place so no sliding while slicing!! Unit sits in a try for crumb collection. Keeps work area neat and clean. Worth every penny!!

I love that I can put a loaf of homemade bread in and slice perfect or near perfect slices every time. Due to variations in the loaf (not the slicer), the slices are not always perfectly even. Even so, the slices come out much, much better than when I try to slice the bread without a quide. The build is rugged and the parts are, I think, very easy to clean. Most of the time I rinse everything off with water, dry the wooden parts and let everything air dry for a little bit. It does not come with a knife so you can choose the best one for you. I like the adjusifor the width of the loaf. I have been making bread with a bread machine so I use this several times a day for different breads and I am pleased with the results every time.

I got into bread making by accident (the bread maker was a gift) and after trying my hand free slicing, decided I needed a bread slicer. I was not convinced of the bamboo ones, thinking bamboo splinters would be in my future. So, I opted for this brand. There was a learning curve involved. If you lay the loaf with the bread machine dough hook side down, the final cuts are tougher due to the thicker crust on the bottom (next to the maker's heating element). It cuts easier if laid on the side. But that may or may not produce some cosmetic issues based on the thickness of the top crust. Also, learning how much and how little to push the bread against the bamboo end piece will dictate uniformity.Overall, I and my wife are pleased with uniformity and the job it does.Negatives?• The side panels only index one way, and even using the supplied bamboo end piece it is rickety. I more or less reduced that problem by using a thick rubber band to hold the non-index sides in tension which reduces the movement when slicing.• The knife supplied is not solid enough to produce even slices. Use your own knife.• We only use the slimmest slice guides and wish that there were more of them.Positives?• It works well once figured out. My sliced loaves look presentable and even.• It is easy to clean.• It folds up nicely and out of the way.• It should last a long time.On the fence?• You will scratch up the plastic base plate. It is inevitable. You won't get any bamboo splinters, and based on the density of plastic, I doubt you will get any plastic is your system.Hints for the supplier?• Have the factory cut notches in both sides of the side plates and provide indexing on the bottom plate to help make it less rickety. Or provide a rubber band to help minimize movement and keep it a one-person job.• Maybe sell side plates that are all one slice guide? The thin slice guide is like regular toast to me while the medium is closer to Texas toast. Not sure what the heck I would use the big slice guide for.Overall, I give it four stars. A half star off for being rickety and a half off for not having enough thin slice guides.

I've tried several. My first was a bamboo bread slicer, and while it was good, it had three slice thickness slots, which meant that I had to slice four pieces and remove them before slicing more. (We prefer the thin slices, about ⅜" thick.) I got tired of bread slicing being so tedious, so I shopped for a new one. (Plus, the bamboo board was wearing out, and it's harder to thoroughly clean bamboo without it getting warped from too much moisture.)Nearly all of the bread slicers have multiple thickness slots. I want to slice a loaf in one shot. I finally found one that had one thickness throughout, but they were too thick (about ¾"). So I shopped some more. I decided to give up after literally several hours of shopping and comparing. I was about to close the app when I saw this little baby in a thumbnail, and it looked like just maybe it could be what I was looking for. I almost didn't look, sure that I'd be let down again. I'm so glad that my curiosity got the best of me!I can now slice an entire loaf of bread in one shot! Well, almost... the length of the slots are ONE slice shorter than the loaf from my 3 lb. bread machine. (lol) So I slice off the first end piece, remove that, then slice a perfect loaf of bread. ⅜" slices, just the way we like them! When I bake a loaf of bread for French toast, I'll slice every other slot for nice thick ¾" pieces, but otherwise the ⅜" slots are perfection.Being a cutting board, of course it will end up with grooves being cut into it after a while. Take care and be mindful when your knife gets close to the bottom of the loaf, and those grooves should be minimal. I've got cutting boards made of the same material, and the grooves from cutting are quite small after several years of using them. I expect this slicer to last a long time. The included knife is decent and we'll find other uses for it, but I have a wonderful bread knife that I absolutely love, which I personally find to be superior to the one included with this slicer. If you don't already have a bread knife, though, you'll likely find this one to be useful. The ONLY complaint I have about this slicer is that the sides with the slots really could be longer. There is a good 2-3" left at the end of the cutting board, so I really don't know why they're not longer. If the slots ran from one end of the cutting board all the way to the other, the slots would absolutely enable me to slice the entire loaf without removing even the first end piece. (Again, my bread machine makes 3lb. loaves rather than up to 2 lbs., so mine are a tad longer than loaves from most bread machines I've had or seen.) However, I am quite happy to remove the first end piece and continue slicing the entire loaf in one remaining shot. This slicer was $20 more than the previous ones I've bought, but this is the last slicer I will be purchasing for a very long time, so it was worth it to me.

The concept behind this product is great. The knife provided is too flimsy and you’ll want to use a more sturdy serrated knife. As you can see, the knife can cut into the polyurethane guides. At first the knife will nick the guide stopping your ability to slice the bread. When I tried to remove nick my knife cut through the polyurethane. The seller doesn’t offer replacements and their customer service “chat†option did not provide the manufacturer’s name to contact for parts. If you choose to purchase this product use caution to not cut into the polyurethane. I will try a different product to see if it has a longer life.

Me gusta preparar pan y siempre cortar rebanadas regulares a mano es un poco complicado, pero con esta tabla con guÃa de porte es mucho más fácil cortar rebanadas iguales además de que se puede adaptar a diferentes anchos.

We have been using this product for a few weeks and have to say we are thrilled with it. Very high quality and thoughtful design. Assembles in less than a minute, and breaks down easily for storage in the included bag (a nice touch). The three width adjustments help keep different loaves tightly in place for secure cutting. For difficult to cut breads with very thick crusts, we use an electric knife which is guided easily by the unit.I took us about 10 minutes of playing around with it to figure it out, but once we got it right, works like a charm. A bit pricier than other units, but we think we’ll worth the slightly higher price. And good for family cohesion - my wife likes thin cut bread and I prefer thicker cuts. So even with the same loaf we each get what we want easily!

I make a lot of bread and have for 30 years. I was skeptical on buying a bread guide but my Family wanted one and I am so happy with this purchase. It is very sturdy. All the parts fit perfectly. The knife is a bonus and has some weight to it. I am a clean freak and having all the crumbs fall into a tray is great. I leave the bread in bread bags on the tray ready to cut. The serving tray is also a nice addition. It also folds down and came with a nice sturdy storage bag. The seller sent a nice note. I am very happy with this purchase.
