About this item

  • 【Diverse Storage】The Jeep Hard Top Hoist easily stores hard tops for all 2-4 door Jeep Wranglers, Jeep Gladiators, and other vehicles. It can also be used for general storage. The hoist supports ceiling heights from 8 to 16 feet, maximizing garage space.
  • 【Safety & Security】 The stainless steel lock automatically tightens when the rope is released. The stainless steel hardware and double-braided ropes can handle a maximum load of 220 lbs (99.79 kg). The auto-leveling descent design significantly improves operational safety.
  • 【Extra Accessories】 We’ve included 6 extra wing screws designed for tool-free installation of Jeep hardtops. They are compatible with all jeep models from 2007 onward.
  • 【Easy Operation】 The 1:8 pulley ratio reduces the effort needed to lift heavy objects by eight times, making the process much easier. One person can easily lift any heavy load.
  • 【Stress-free DIY】 Our package includes clear step-by-step instructions and all the necessary hardware. Even if you're not a pro, installing the removal lift will be a breeze, saving you time and labor costs. It’s a fun and simple task!

  • The size and functionality are the same, but we also provide free thumb screws and ropes, which can support ceilings up to 16 feet.

  • The thumb screws can replace the original T-45 bolts used to secure the hardtop. They allow for tool-free removal and provide extra protection by preventing over-tightening, which reduces the risk of damaging the roof.

  • The Jeep hardtop hoist makes it easy to store hardtops for Jeep, Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, Land Rover, and GMC Jimmy, as well as kayaks, canoes, and rooftop cargo boxes.

  • Yes, the lift system is adjustable to accommodate different ceiling heights. However, it's important to ensure there is enough clearance between the lifting arms.

  • The lift system is designed for easy installation. It comes with clear instructions and all the hardware needed for setup. Most users find the installation process straightforward, and it can typically be completed in 4-6 hours.

I own an older Jeep Wrangler. It's my favorite toy, my best possession, and it's a platform for many other toys. There are a lot of things that make Wranglers fun: all of the accessories, all of the aesthetics upgrades, and being able to drive just about anywhere motorized vehicles can go. One of the more fun things to do is take the top off and cruise in nice weather. With a soft top it's fairly easy, if time consuming, and can easily be done by one person. A hard top is a different story. To do this easily you need a minimum of two but preferably four people to remove it without overly risking a drop. You do NOT want to drop a hard top, there's a good chance it won't survive the trip. I really wanted to be able to remove my top so I had my eyes open for solutions. When I saw this hard top lift I had to try it.This is a really cool tool! I have it installed in our covered car port and it fits there like it was meant to. It's fairly easy to use: the straps and hooks snag the sides and thread through the open tailgate to support the top and you pull the live end of the rope to lift it. It's a pulley system to reduce to pull and make it easy for one person to lift the top. The pulleys and other hardware are robust and feel very heavy-duty. It doesn't take a terribly long time to use it, and the first time will likely be the longest, so I expect it will become second nature before long.My only complaint is that I wish it had come with a windlass or other crank for the rope. Not that pulling by hand is such a difficulty, but it would have been nice. I may even get an inexpensive winch to make this fully automated.Overall I'm thrilled with this hard top lift. Removing my hard top was something I only did once in a blue moon (it was at least two years between when I first installed it and removed it for the first time), but now it's something I can do any day where there's good weather. My daughter will be so excited.

This kit is essentially the same as the Harken kit for considerably less. While the instructions are poorly translated, and there are parts included in the box that are not used in the kit nor listed in the Parts List, I was able to install the kit in my barn by myself. It's most important to understand that the distance between the rope collector and the welded eyebolt is how much lift you will get; if you have a tall ceiling, it is possible to mount the collector in such a manner that won't restrict your lift height. Take your time to measure three times before drilling holes or cutting your support boards. This lifted my trailer-height ARE shell off my 6.5' bed Tundra (probably close to 175lbs), but it DOES take a lot of effort even with the considerable mechanical advantage. One thing that the kit does not include that should be included is a cleat to tie off the rope. Even though the block and tackle does include a cam, I wouldn't want to walk under that and rely on it!All in all, a good kit for the money. Would buy again.

Great set. We're using it to get and put heavy things in/out of the attic. All the materials are good quality and feel durable.
