it is perfect I was tired of watching my mom's cats scratching up a storm and a whole lot of fleas so I looked Amazon to see if they even carries anything like this of course they have it and for the price its a couple of dollars cheaper then Target and way cheaper then the pet store I'm giving you guys a 5 stars because it works great for my mom's cats no more fleas and scratches thank guys

The reflective strip fades but appears to work as it's suppose to.

I used this as back up until something else I ordered showed up. It worked. I wouldn't use it as the sole provider to remove fleas.For the cost it's really good.Note, on instructions you do need to stretch to activate this. As its activated a line within the collar turns brighter. Had I not read I would have thought taking it out of the plastic wrap it comes in is enough.I'm noting because I was leary of buying this due to mix reviews.It made me wonder if perhaps people reviewing saying it didn't work activated it in full.

My fur baby went to my in-laws for a 5 day trip and came back with an annoying gift.(My in-laws have inside/outside kitties, my girl is a strictly indoor kitty)After some deep cleaning and a bath. My husband and I decided to order one of these just in case.Worst idea, luckily we were able to catch it in time. The first day of her wearing it she was okay, but day 2-3- and part of the 4th day was no good... She became sluggish, lethargic, sleeping all day. She became extra attached, wouldn't leave my side, even during bedtime, she slept on top of me, which isn't her behavior.She wasn't eating, drinking, or going to the bathroom. I became beyond worried, she wasn't her normal playful self. On day four we decided to take it off. We gave her a good bath, she was pissed but her behavior changed right away. With a few hours she was eating small amounts and drinking, After 48 hours she was back to her normal self, running around and terrorising her parents.I can't even begin to imagine what would have happened if I allowed her to wear it longer. I was absolutely unaware of the dangers of flea collers. I now know, and was blessed that my baby girl is okay. I beg you, please look into the dangers of these types of products before using them. I don't even wanna use Vet recommended collars. I'm scared of those too. Our flea issue was extremely minor but for more serious issues, PLEASE consult your Vet.I'd die without my baby girl, I suffer from depression and PTSD. She's been my life saver since the day we got her. If I would have lost her due to a flea collar....... I can't even imagine what my life would have become.We ended up buying some Vet's best natural flea and tick spray.It has helped dramatically without the harsh chemicals.Be safe, love yourself and everyone else, and give your babies (human or furry) an extra snuggle tonight.Added some photos of my sweet girl, hopefully it will brighten your dayðŸ˜

I am giving this collar 3 stars only because it seems to be effectively keeping the fleas off of my cat. He is scratching a lot less and we haven't seen any fleas even when we use his furminator comb. It loses 1 star for the reflector strip being completely worthless. We've had the collar for 5 days and the strip is mostly gone already. It loses another star for the toxic smell. My cat likes to snuggle and I can barely tolerate having him on my lap with this collar on. We are already trying to find a less unpleasant way to keep the fleas away.

So far, so good. My outdoor cat has been wearing this collar since the beginning of the summer and he hasn't had any fleas. (he comes in at night so we would notice if he had any). The only issue we had, was that we had to buy a second one because somehow he got out of the first one and we never found it.

seems to be working great onl had it on my cat for a month and a half and he is an indoor cat only but I have a dog that goes in and out doors so for protection I use this for the cat.No problems and no skin reactions and he does have sensitive skin.
