I wasn’t going to review these bags, but when I got them I had to point out that they are great for rabbits as well!My two buns can shred through a bag of hay pretty quickly with bags that are designed just for smaller animals, which means the bags are smaller as well. This lasts them a good week and the waste of hay is much lower. They also don’t seem interested in chewing on it (anything else is fair game apparently), so having 3 is a great deal.Needless to say, they are Freya and Odin approved!

Issue with durability. After just shy of 2 months of use all three have had stitching come undone at the bottom. I found that the spring clips are a little too small which makes it hard to close the top which is needed to keep horses from just sticking their mouth into the large top. It has functioned to slow my horses down but looks like all 3 will need to be replaced after only a couple weeks of use.

I was recommended to use this for rabbits online & by amazon reviews , this morning one of my rabbits (5ishlb American sable ) hung himself by sticking his his head in the bottom smaller holes panicking he twisted the straps up until his feet were lifted off the ground Luckily we heard the commotion but had we not been home he would have killed himself I would not buy this for rabbits only use for large animals

This set of 3 hay feeder bags is a decent value for the price point of under $40 at the time of writing this. The bags are made of a medium to lightweight canvas that is lined with a rubberized coating. The webbing straps and the metal hardware are also a medium weight as well. The feeder opening is approximately 11.5" wide by 12" tall with openings that are between about 2" - 2.5" wide. The hanging strap is approximately 48" long end to end.The size is not especially large, but there is a wide opening at the top to fit in a flake of hay. The top of the feeder is, basically, open, but I noticed a grommet on either side of the top of the bag that would allow you to clip them together in the center to create more of a closed top if desired. The seams all appear to be well sewn.I suspect that the longevity of these bags depends on the animals using them. These could last a long time but, depending on the animal, could also get ripped pretty quickly.
