Amazon states boldly that this is a commonly returned item - That may just be because although the fitment guide lists your particular vehicle, it might NOT be an OEM fit. As in my case. My Ford 5.4 liter Triton engine came with a 3.5" idler pulley; this is only 3". Perhaps the tensioner would compensate for the smaller diameter, but I'll go with what the design engineers specified, thank you.However, it was an easy task to remove the bearing from this new unit and press it into the old pulley with a heavy-duty vice, so all is well. A new bearing only would have been the way I would have gone anyway had I known the dimensions of the bearing, so it's all well and good for me - Twice the cost of a bearing alone, but cheap enough and no returning the item and waiting for a separate bearing to arrive.

I purchased this pulley for my '04 Impala SS. My old pulley seized up and all that was left was the bearing and bolt. I ordered this pulley because the parts store was going to take 4 days to get one and I could get this one next day with our Prime sub. and I'm glad I did order it. This pulley not only works well, but is made from quality materials I could feel when I checked it out. It spun smooth. It felt solid and I don't worry about it at all on my car. It definitely won't be the last part I order.

Is correct diameter and depth, but some of the tensioner bodies need to have washers beneath them to keep the pulley from touching the timing chain cover. Some of these modular engines have a different timing chain cover than the original engine. In my case the long block which included the timing chain cover came from a Lincoln.

My boyfriend’s car was making a horrible squeaky noise. We tried so many different things, to no avail. We decided to replace the tensioner pulley and now no noise except the rumble of his ‘93 Mustang!

Got a beater 2003 Jaguar X-Type back on the road with one of these.The part was super cheap.The install process is painful(actually). Watch some Youtube videos so you know what you are getting into.It is fast to do, just requires putting hands into small spaces.I ended up making my own tension bar with an old socket and wrench and a stick welder. It helped out ALOT.Would recommend this part as a replacement on your drive belt system if yours is screeching or locked.

Bought for idler pulley but does not fit. This part is for the tensioner pulley. The Idler pulley is hayden part # 5975
