Hayward PSV3S2 3-Way 2-Inch- 2- 1/2-Inch CPVC Material. The 2-way and 3-way full-flow PSV diverter valves make water flow management simple and easy. The full-flow valves are available with either a 1-1/2-Inch or 2-Inch internal fit. Sturdy CPVC construction ensures a long life and resistance to higher temperatures. The handle is removable without tools and allows for quick and easy port customization. The PSV3SM features three externally threaded ports for use with SP1500UNPAK1, which is included with the valve.

The valve does what it is supposed to do. I like the ability to re-index the valve to make it block the ports that I want it to. I am using it as a diverter and bypass valve for my new pool heater and it does the job well. It is setup to divert some or all of the water when required away from the heater. At one point I needed to shut off the water to the heater and when set in that position, I was able to disconnect the heater from the system with the filter running and it didn't leak a drop. The handles can also be locked in position and I like that as well. The valve bonded solidly to PVC pipe with PVC / CPVC glue which made my life easier.

Very well built 3-way diverter valve. Problem for me is it doesn't fully support all possible flow configurations. the 90 degree or orthogonal entry opening can never be blocked so it only blocks one of the other of the the two inline openings or has all 3 open. This is an issue for me. Fortunately, I used a different 3 way valve from another manufacturer for the other re-connection and was able to control the water flow with that valve. So fortunately, I built in some redundancy and used a different valve as well. The other valve supports blocking any of the openings or having all three open so it is more flexible, I would guess would be the best way to put it. Other than the above, it is well built and can be serviced easier than other designs. This reduction in flexibility of use is why I docked it one star.

I needed this last minute while installing a new pool heater. Warranty stated that if chemistry in pool was off, that you need the water to bypass the heater until chemistry was back in balance. My old heater did not have this and I want this quickly so I could complete my install. Arrived by 4 pm next day and I'm up and running before the weekend

I like the quality of the item. Top shelf and Hayward is one of the best brands in pool equipment. Bought a new pump too. Jandy is supposed to be the best but they look the same except for the Name and about 1/2 the price. Had then in 2 days

MY CONFIGURATION OF INFLOW AND OUTFLOW WAS DIFFERENT THAN THE FACTORY DEFAULT. I SET UP THE CAMS ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS, WITH MY PARTICULAR INFLOW/OUTFLOW AND IT DID NOT WORK. I HAD TO RE-INSTALL REPEATEDLY, CHANGING THE CAMS 1/4 POSITION UNTIL THE VALVE WORKED AS IT SHOULD. A BIT OF A NUISANCE, BUT IS WORKING PERFECTLY NOW.
