I use this fire retardant cabinet to store all of my LiPo batteries for my R/C airplanes and helicopters. Even with the batteries being at storage charge, this cabinet gives me greater peace of mind from burning down my garage or worst yet, my entire house.

Cabinet seems good. Unfortunately, there are shelves in the image and they are also mentioned in the product information. Too bad none were actually in the cabinet or its packaging. I contacted the seller and they gave me a partial refund that I will use to find a shelf that fits.

I’m an artist living in an apartment using this to store mineral spirits, mediums and spray paints. I think grounding it is overkill for what I’m using it for so I don’t do that but if I wanted to there weren’t great directions to do so. I can’t say if it works protecting from fire and I hope to never find out but it is heavy and sturdy, although mine came dented on one corner. The door seems like it might have a small gap when it’s closed so idk if it’s truly airtight. It is a good price for what it is and I feel better having my flammable stuff in here.
