Salt water boat. One old seal was so stuck almost broke the spanner wrench before it began to turn. Was a cold day - Took much force to start the new seals on the shaft. Make sure steering shaft (seals mount on) is clean then wipe some steering fluid on it for lubrication also lube seals before installing. Might be easier if you warm the seals before installing.

I didn’t know this came with the compression fittings not tight. After trying to bleed this several times I realized the fittings were loose and allowing air into the tubes. Tightened them and works great!

not manufactured to oem spec on the threads and it almost ruined the steering cyl One fit just fine. One side went half way in and got stuck very difficult to remove Bought oem seals and they threaded in perfectly

Ok for the price I paid but sure was a cheap tool they sent to loose and tighten the seal holder.

After watching a YouTube video on how to make this repair I decided to go for it. I also ordered a bleed hose kit for about $80. Took me about 2 hours to complete. It would have taken more time to take it to a mechanic and probably saved me $500 or so. The most time consuming part was just turning the steering wheel back and forth until there was no air. That took better part of an hour. But much easier than I anticipated.
