This adapter worked perfectly. I enjoyed that the subwoofer out was only the low frequencies. I used this to setup an outdoor backyard movie theater. Because I needed XLR for my pro speakers, I connected the adapter to a Behringer 8 ch DI box and wow!! The kids felt like they were at a movie theater! A surround sound processor with XLR outputs costs thousands, I’m going to buy another one now as a backup!

works amazingly with switch and ps5 for fantastic lcpm 5.1... BUT... like with the other reviews...it requires a fix to get the sound channels working properlyUGREEN RCA to Aux Cable 3.5mm Male to 2RCA Female Adapter Hi-Fi Sound Auxiliary Stereo Audio Cord Gold Plated Y Splitter 1/8 to RCA Connector for iPhone MP3 Tablet Computer Speaker, 0.8FTAmazon Basics 3.5mm Stereo Aux to 2 x RCA Audio Cable Adapters, 4 Feet/1.2 m, for Connecting Amplifiers, Speakers, with Gold-Plated Plugs, Blacki bought these and reversed the white and red rca male into the female rca portsi am using a z5500 logitech surround setup for referenceonce you get this working i honestly think its worth the inconvenience to play mario kart 8 and other surround sound switch games.

This product works for my Apple TV 4K, and successfully can play 7 surround channels independently (not a mix, each channel was tone tested) and one LFE channel.Channels are reversed to what the silk screen says but small price to pay for a great product!

I got this to use with my Logitech z506 with my nintendo switch and get 5.1 and it worked great. The only issue i had was the the center channel and lfe channel was reversed. Had to use a male 3.5mm to male rca and a male 3.5mm to female rca to switch the channels.

It didn't work at all. No lights came on and no signal would pass through the unit. Completely defective. Seller offered a choice of a refund or a replacement. Since I had previously purchases a similar unit (different brand) from another vendor and it hadn't worked, I opted for the refund assuming that probably none of these devices work very well if at all. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

After doing an extensive search for a HDMI audio splitter that supports the LPCM audio that the Nintendo Switch outputs, this is one of a very small number that are available, and the only one that is compatible with my Logitech Z506 surround speaker set. That said, it has a near-fatal design flaw, for which I've removed three stars in this review: The LFE and C channels are swapped in its output, requiring that you run the signal through a 1/8"-to-RCA (these are the old-school red-and-white plugs) converter, a RCA audio cable to implement the swap, and then a RCA-to-1/8" converter - a very ugly but effective workaround that doesn't do the audio quality any good. This would be a five-star product otherwise, but it does work with my Nintendo Switch, which was the reason why I purchased it.

If you have old surround sound with the 3.5mm audio jacks (analog), this is the absolute best adapter on the market right now for the price. It outputs clear sound, with zero stutters or lag, and since it's HDMI in, you get the full audio ranges listed in the specs. Other adapters that work similarly have an Optical Input that means the audio quality maxes out at a much lower range, which made my speakers sound like crap (not to mention the lag/stutters).You won't find a better adapter if you need the 5.1 or 7.1 analog audio outputs. It's perfect. Makes my Z506 speakers sound pretty good for the price.

Bought this to be used with my switch and get a proper 5.1 surround from it. Everything works really well except that the center/sub channels are swapped. Since this is a combination 3.5mm jack, you are going to have to buy two "3.5mm Stereo Plug to 2 RCA Jack Cable" and swap the signal manually. It's definitely not ideal, but I couldn't find a device that served the function I need...Best of Luck.
