Among all the switchers out there this one had the input at the end instead of straight in line with the outputs. I like this setup and the device did what it is suppose to with no problems, plug all the cables in and all the monitors, tvs received the signal without a hiccup. Had different resolution devices and it handled them all without any problems.

Haven't tried recording from it yet, but today I needed to split an HDMI signal to 2 screens and it worked perfectly without having to use the USB power cable. The LEDs on the unit work, so it's getting power from the HDMI connection. I'm running a 6 foot standard HDMI cable to a smaller screen and a 75 foot fiber optic HDMI cable to a 14 foot projector. This cable also requires power from the HDMI connection. I had no issues, and the picture on the projector is fine. I would definitely recommend it!

This is the 7th switcher(seriously 7th) I tried and each one could do some of the 4K features but either couldn't maintain a reliable signal or didn't have the picture quality of this one. I use the switcher in my theater that run an A/V receiver and projector in the theater room but it also outputs to the 4k TV in the family room next to the theater. The switcher sends a stable and reliable 4k signal to the projector over a 30 ft HDMI cable and to the TV in the next room through another 30 ft HDMI cable. The signal is strong and you don't need an HDMI booster/extender. The picture quality is excellent and it appears that the switcher doesn't degrade the signal at all and the picture is as sharp as can be and the colors pop off the screen as if it wasn't even there. Great great switcher.

My setup is a Roku device plugged into an older Denon HomeTheater which has 1 HDMI out. Initially when I connected this all I saw was a purple screen, tried adding power adapter, same result. Then, tried connecting Roku directly to this splitter ( B09XTWJ4P4 ) and it worked and it did not require the power connection. Next, reconnected to the Denon and everything is now working!Hmmm, seems like something was set/reset but regardless, happy that this device is working now. This is day 1, if this goes south later will update, no update == all good!Update -- Day 2 : Turned on my setup and was greeted with a puple screen. Works great when connected directly to my Roku. I assume its some hdmi version issue coming out of my older Denon.Bottom line is this unit may work great for your needs or not.
