As the headline says, with these converters I was able to set up a laptop that only had a single HDMI out to a docking station with display port connections. Was able to replace the higher end set up a friend had so they could continue to work from home on their personal and lower cost laptop!! Saved the day!

It never worked for me, even on a brand new PC and with new cables.It would have been nice if it had worked though.

Used these active HDMI to DisplayPort adapters to drive video signal for a DisplayPort KVM switch. These were able to drive the HDMI signal to the DP ports with no problems. You have to give it a few seconds to (15-20 seconds) for the signal to convert and wake up the DP monitor, but it works just fine. This is the initial review about 30 minutes after receiving the products from the delivery driver. If I have trouble with these in the future, I will come back and post an update to this review.

I'm using it to convert my work laptop's HDMI into Display Port so I can connect it to a KVM switch. Everything works, even without the USB power cable it comes with. The only problem I've noticed is that the colors on the display seem washed out compared to when I had it connected straight to an HDMI port.

I bought this adapter for my son’s new monitor, which only had a dp port. I plugged the dp cord into the monitor and into the adapter. I plugged the adapter directly into his laptop, and voila! The power cord was not necessary. I plugged it in to see, and it did not make a difference.

This was a cheaply made converter. If you are trying to convert hdmi to DisplayPort then it works fine. If you are trying to get higher refresh rate, I’d doesn’t work. Don’t pull the dp cord out to hard

No tuve mucha opción, era este u otro qué encontré pero se veÃa muy tosco en la publicación asà que elegà este.En teorÃa se debe conectar un cable micro usb (v8 también he leÃdo qué se llama) al adaptador pero funciona sin ese cable.En la publicación parece que vienen dos unidades pero solo viene una pieza.En resumen tardé en encontrarlo pero me funcionó a la perfección y la resolución del monitor es excelente, yo lo uso en un FHD.

Only issue that I have with it is that it sticks out from the side of my laptop. The connector end of the display cable also adds to the length of what sticks out from the laptop, this could put some pressure on the port. A cable would have been a better solution.

en la foto te presentan que son dos piezas pero SOLO ES UNA. Cuidado. Demasiado caro para ser solo 1 pieza. El artÃculo fue devuelto obviamente.
