This was a fairly straightforward assembly. It took DH about 1-1.5 hours to assemble himself. It is a nice looking, comfortable chair and it feels sturdy. It’s nice enough that I could keep it inside, but it’s really great to be able to keep it on our patio.

Quality material and very easy to assemble however it seems they packed the wrong screws so now the arms of the chairs aren’t screwed into place. I now have to go to Lowe’s to buy an 8pack of screws to secure the arms 😕

I was skeptical about a plastic rocking chair that pretends to be made of wood. And the plastic definitely has some flex to it that is a little unnerving when you're putting it together. But I've found that the flexibility actually makes this more comfortable than a wooden chair would be—because the seat conforms to your tush where wood wouldn't—and once assembled it's not wobbly or worrying at all.The plastic-wood is definitely heavier than regular wood is. Fully assembled this thing weighs a ton. But that's only a problem when you're trying to move it to sweep around it.I keep my chair in the shade, so I don't know how heat/sun will affect it.The other thing I marked it down is assembly. The instructions were _mostly_ clear, but figuring out which screws to use where was a pain. Also one of the holes wasn't drilled square, so one step was particularly tedious trying to get things lined up, and I was worried about just screwing it down until it was seated properly, since I didn't really want to strip out the plastic. Now that it's assembled, it's very comfy, and a great addition to our patio.

I was able to assemble the rocker, using only the fasteners and tools provided with the kit. All fasteners are in the metric system. The bolts and screws in the plastic container are not identified by length. Looking at the instructions, the bolts vary between 65 mm, 70 mm and 80 mm, so obviously we might presume the longest bolt is 80 mm and the shortest bolt is 65 mm. Not particularly a concern, even for assemblers accustomed to the imperial system. The instructions became somewhat of a concern because the hardware also includes four screws 80 mm in length. Nowhere in the instructions are the use of any screws described. Step two describes the use of 80 mm bolts and the assembly instructions and illustrations show the use of 80 mm bolts. Except for step two, nowhere else in the instructions are 80 millimeter fasteners (bolts or screws) described. I ended up assembling the rocker with four 80 mm screws left over and wondering why I had any hardware left over.I was impressed with the precision of the formation of the artificial wood parts especially for the armrest portion of the rocker which included slots into which other formed parts of the armrest slid. Very precisely manufactured. Now that it’s assembled it’s a great chair solid, sturdy. good looking. The material won’t rot, which is wonderful. comfortable to sit in. Getting to this point was a headache though.

I got this chair in a few days ago and we just got around to assembling it today. First of all it arrives in a compact heavy box...you may need some help to maneuver it. After unwrapping, we found that all parts were included. The assembly manual is pretty clear but there are a couple steps that are sort of ambiguous...just watch the diagram as you go. We had to revise 2 parts ...4 bolts total so no big deal. It took 2 of us about 1-1/2 hours to fully assemble the chair. The allen wrench provided is ok but the small open end wrench is difficult. When you assemble get your own allen on a ratchet and a decent box end wrench, I think its a 10 mm. After assembly it is a nice looking chair...it matches some other patio furniture just by chance. After consideration I would rate this as a good buy. See pictures for an idea of the final look.

I ordered this shortly after throwing away the ruined remains of our previous outdoor rocking chair. That one had been made with actual wood, and it had literally fallen apart after several years of being outside in our highly variable weather.Needless to say, finding a replacement that was not actually wood was of interest to us.This chair is made of plastic, but it's not obvious unless you rub your hands along the grain to check for splinters. Even then, it could be missed. Finding splinters definitely will not be missed. This chair is safer in that regard. It feels sturdy. The base did not obviously warp under my ~150lb or my husband's ~190lb. The back does bend slightly, but I suspect this was intentional to improve comfort. It is very comfortable to sit in.As a chair, it rocks. Literally. We love it.Assembly, however, was a pain. The parts are well-labeled and the instructions are clear. However, what they ask is not always easy to do. Lining up the curved rocking bars with the legs was tricky. I had to recruit my son for help stabilizing the seat while attaching the bolt/washer/knut combinations necessary to keep them together. The tools they provided were insufficient for tightening these. I ended up grabbing my own socket wrench set to hold the knut while screwing the bolt into it. Furthermore, one of their predrilled holes in the leg connectors was off somehow, and I couldn't get the force necessary to screw the bolt in with the provided hex key. I ended up grabbing a ratchet screwdriver, putting a hex bit in it, and twisting with both hands and all my force to eventually get it in place. It was unpleasant. However, the resulting chair is great. I look forward to getting it on my front porch.
