If you have ever installed a cell phone or tablet screen protector, you can easily install this pick guard. This was installed on a Taylor AD17e, natural / satin finish, and was a perfect fit / replacement for the plastic factory guard. Some reviewers say the material is too thin. Time will tell, but, it seemed just right to me. Adhesion was good, but I can see where removing and replacing the guard could be problematic. Insure that your surface prep removes ALL dust from the guitar surface. Carefully place the guard on the guitar and smooth the film with the provided card. That's it.Edit: I initially edited my earlier post to note that my pickguard had come loose while "strumming" my guitar. It had been on for almost 3 weeks. Since I could not get it to lay flat, and I thought I would have to replace it, I decided to remove it. When I pulled the loose piece, thinking the pickguard would come off, the loose piece was "actually" the "protective cover" on the pickguard. The underlying "pickguard" was still firmly attached! SO, make sure after you install the pickguard, to remove the thin film protective pickguard cover - DUH.

Used this on a Baby Taylor that doesn't have a pick guard and was starting to get a little scratched up. Works great and you barely know it's there.

So this is well made and nearly invisible, but it isn't as long as I expected. I want the pick guard to almost touch the bridge, but it's at least half an inch short of that. Great pick guard if it suits you.

I installed my first one of these (clear matt version) in 2017 on a new Taylor 522e solid mahogany guitar. It has been fantastic. After three years I worried that it might not be easily removable but it peeled off easily leaving absolutely no residue or trace of change. I did store the guitar in the case, which preserves the finish best and I use hydration during the house heating season to keep the humidity at 45%. Subsequently I installed the same kind on a grand concert top-of-the-line Taylor Guitar with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and Koa sided model. It has been on for several year doing the job nicely too. The reviewers who say it is hard to install or gets dust under it.... duh, same thing happens with a cell phone or iPad unless you take precautions widely available on the internet. I used the "basic" shaped version, not the "style" version but you get one of both in the package. Thank you South Koreans for this great innovation, worth every penny and much more.

Pun intended. Sometimes I don't want the standard pick guard look some guitars are just too pretty without a pick guard but still need protection

This is my second order with this company. I bought it because of the great reviews. The first time it came with 2 pick guards which I didn't expect. There were two different shapes, one for cutaway guitars and a teardrop shape for other guitars. I used them both with great results. This order only contains 1 pick guard. While I will use it, I think for the price they charge, which is more than most on Amazon, they should go back to including the extra pick guard. It's a bit of a letdown, since I needed two. 5 stars for quality. 3 stars for value.

Zuerst, die Beschreibung ist nicht ganz korrekt, in die Packung sind 2 stuck, ein als Teardrop und die andere abgebildete Form.was besonders schlecht ist das die nicht lange kleben bleiben nach zwei Wochen losen sie sich von die Gitarren. Echt schade.

We applied this to a classical guitar being played acoustic style. Almost invisible which in this case was nice. Super thin, but after a year's use is holding up well. No issues other than we were initially expecting two shields due to the images included with the ad, but only received one. Can't say whether this shield is better or worse than any of the other ones being sold on Amazon but it has met our needs satisfactorily.

Protection transparente(2 modèles différents dans la même boîte), qui se pose facilement et ne se voit pratiquement pas. Ma guitare n'étant que légèrement vernie, j'espère que ça ne laissera pas de trace. Petit matériel de nettoyage et de pose fourni.

Buon battipenna, facile da applicare, praticamente invisibile, protegge da graffi efficacemente da pennate non troppo pesanti. Costa, ma ne vale la pena.
