I used this product and the Edge. I found it to be more reliable than the Edge which would give me sometimes wild numbers. Most likely reason is that this company uses individually packaged strip and it prevents it from oxidation.

I've had good results with this lactate meter, using it to track my lactate threshold and resting lactate levels. The measurements are reliably repeatable, as long as I take care to prepare my finger prick correctly (it's mostly similar to measuring glucose or ketones, but requires a couple extra steps to make sure the sample is right). The strips are reliable, I've had no duds, but you'll want to make sure the finger prick has enough blood for the sensor because they're about 2½ bucks a pop! They're worth it though, and if you're familiar with taking your glucose, it's pretty much the same, just extra emphasis on making sure your finger is clean. Customer support is great too! Highly recommend this for exercise training, you can learn a lot about your body and quantify your metabolic change over time!
