I fly airplanes and have a coupled. This stuff is way better than the stuff you get from Aircraft Spruce and costs less. I just replace the 3" duct to my oil cooler and this stuff tough looking. Not only is it silicone imbedded fabric on the outside it has a full layer of fabric covering the spiral wire inside. I really have no doubt this stuff will last. I'm only 72 years old and have been a mechanic since I was 14 But hey I really like this stuff

The clear plastic film is very difficult to remove, and takes the top layer of rubber off with it. With the film in place, the hose is very stiff and will not bend without kinking. Don’t know what I will do with it. Can’t use it for brake ducting.

Good ductwork to cool off brake rotors. Covered in cellophane which is tedious to remove and not suitable for high temperature environments.

I am using the 3" MMHOSE-D3 for brake ducting. The metal ribbing wore through / broke through the lining just during installation. I haven't even driven with it. The red rubberized coating scrapes off like a pencil eraser. This product is not very robust at all. I do not expect to get much life out of the product once I start driving with it. It gets two stars because it was more flexible than the Allstar ALL42151 but the Mishimoto was twice the price. I wont purchase this product again.

I purchased this for ducting in my small airplane, the hose is covered with a plastic film that is nearly impossible to remove making the hose far from fire resistant. The hose is very stiff and unable to bend at 90 deg angles without detenting - impossible to bend with smooth bends. Recommendations from the manufacturer is to not wrap in plastic and improve flex of hose. I would not recommend this product.
