1 hot iron heating rod and 6 tips heat-set inserts M2 M2.5 M3 M4 M5 M6 M8. M2 and M2.5 share a common tip.
This toolset is designed specifically for hot sleeve plugins that insert 3D printed parts, with a shorter and faster tip. Each tip is perfectly matched with the corresponding copper nut insert, making it easy to install, and more importantly, you can obtain a smooth and clean insert.

It works reasonably well. It was missing one nut. Easily fixed. The Insert tips that came with it were disappointing. No 5/16". 1/4" was the largest. Fortunately, I had better tips that fit the device. It is certainly worth the purchase price. You get what you pay for. Want more, spend more.

I already had one of these heat set irons, but had issues with setting them at angles and/or too deep. This makes it much easier to get them straight and to control the depth. And as a bonus I now have a spare heater iron for the eventual failure of the one in this device (but given the expected life of that and the rate of usage I give it, I will likely not outlive the first one.)

easy enough to setup, nice to have a dedicated iron to the unit so I don't have to keep swapping tips on my iron to go from 3D print to wire soldering and back. the base attachment could be more robust, and it would be nice if the column was taller, bit I fixed that myself. I actually kept this iron and swapped in a similar but analog iron for the gantry. they use the same tips so no issues there. the digital iron is nicer to hand soldering, since this one is in my tool bag and I don't have to keep running up to my workbench to do a small soldering job here and there.

Tool is great.Description is WRONG. This listing says it includes a 360 pc insert assortment (worth about $15). IT DOES NOT. Has a box inside the main box for the assortment, but it's empty. I requested a replacement. It also had an empty box.Is the tool worth the money spent vs what you get actually receive? Well, I got mine with a very good discount and it works great, so yes, I'm satisfied with the value. But at full price, no, there cheaper alternatives that DO include the insert assortment.

Plugged in and turned on. Soldering iron reports that it is heating up, but isn't actually doing anything

Everything works. It takes a loooong push on the ON button to turn it on. As long as you know that, ok. Mechanism works smoothly and soldering iron heats sufficiently to melt an insert quickly into plastic.

The ERHT Heat Set Insert Tip Tool (Without 360pcs Thread Knurled Nuts) is a tool used to insert threaded knurled nuts into plastics. The tool is similar to a soldering iron attached onto a press stand and pushes different sized threaded nuts into plastics. It comes with a variety of heads for different sized nuts, and the stand has a spring for less effort embedding. The set originally was slated to come with 360pcs of threaded knurled nuts, but it did not come with them and was later changed to not include them unfortunately. Nuts sold separately I guess. Overall this is a useful niche tool that is used to insert new threaded nuts into plastic slots.
