It's exactly what I needed. It's the perfect size to protect my engine block heater wire that sits close to the exhaust. The velcro is strong and stays together once folded. It's really easy to cut the exact size needed and works very well. Time will tell about the heat resistance but it look and feels well made.

I used this product to insulate the wiring under the hood of my 26-year-old car, in an attempt to preserve the electrical wiring. Just trying to keep the car running as long as humanly possible, and this product was easy to use, easy to cut, and easy to wrap. Just a tip, zip ties work great when holding the insulation firmly in place, even though the velcro works great on its own.

Can be used for many vechicle types, but if you have a polaris utv, then you probably need this more than most. I covered fuel lines and wiring harnesses with this to prevent heat further heat damage.
