This tape is great for sublimation. It sticks well on my fabric and holds the sublimation paper and the DTF film down. I recommend this tape.

Best tape to use for sublimation in my opinion! Will continue to buy these! Doesnt leave lines or anything!

I've gotten into trying to repair old video game equipment, and sometimes I need to use hot air to remove electronic components. Sometimes they're surrounded by tiny SMD components so I can lay down a swath of wider Kapton tape, but sometimes the component to be removed just has a couple of tiny nearby components. That's where this slim tape comes in handy for me. I used this stuff for years when I was an Electrical Equipment mechanic, and this tape almost rivals the nice, US made kapton tape I had on that job.The shortfall of this tape is in my review title: It doesn't stick very well. Now, as I said I did use this type of tape at my old job fairly often, and some rolls just don't get good adhesive. But it was just every once in a while; most of the rolls I used at work had good adhesion.I've tried samples from two of the rolls I got here and so far, the adhesion from both samples has been okay. It's too cold to do electronics tinkering right now, but I THINK I can get this tape to stick down well enough to not get blown off by my hot air desoldering gun. Time will tell though, and I'll update this review once I do.For now though, this tape isn't bad. If you don't have a lot of options then this will work fine for PCB usage. For applications like wrapping, this tape would definitely work just fine.

As a soldering novice, I requested this heat-resistant tape via Vine for upcoming PS5 controller joystick repairs, specifically to shield components from hot air during desoldering. The 10mm width is ideal for working in confined areas. I tested its heat resistance with a hot air rework gun set to 500°F (its advertised as resistant to 480°F). While the tape did begin to deteriorate at this temperature, it performed adequately for my intended use. Results may vary depending on specific applications and heat settings. However, the tape lacks a user-friendly start strip, a feature commonly found in products like Scotch Tape, which would greatly improve ease of use. Additionally, due to its narrow width, the tape tends to twist and adhere to itself via electrostatic or Van der Waals forces, making it somewhat difficult to handle.

This narrow kapton style tape is an excellent choice for electrical insulation in specialty applications like pickup winding, for transformer winding, circuit board isolation, and for any electronic application where the device may get somewhat hot. It is easy to work with, easy to cut, and holds up to the temperatures as advertised.I'm mostly using it for transformer, coil and pickup winding work, and I have no doubt it will be an excellent addition to my selection of insulating materials for those applications. Potting pickups can get them fairly hot (160ºF or so) so a tape that resists those temps with no uncertainty is a good choice, buried down in the middle of the coil as it is. Ditto for adding extra insulation on winding layers on transformers.Four rolls, cleanly cut, well packaged, and generously priced. This was in my opinion a good value for this type of material.Five stars, no issues. Note that the vendor has this in several widths as well.
