The boards that make up my cedar privacy fence shrunk as they dried, leaving gaps between them, so almost a half inch! Tried filling them with foam backer rod...fail! So, I decided to give this a try. I stapled strips of this strapping material onto the boards, then painted them the same color as the fence. Problem solved, and privacy restored! The 130' fence took about three rolls with each strip being about 5' long.

Ran out of strapping from my dr. Shrink kit. Not much available in this type of strapping….most is the harder type is treated for box banding at 5000lb, but that makes it stiff and cant be used to tie knots. The dr. Shrink stuff is good, but it was $10 to ship, almost the price of the spool!.Anyhow this is nice and soft feel, easy to tie knots and work with. I was not sure if 1/2†would be thick enough for the belly band, but its plenty strong and I Had no problems tensioning. Strapping also lightly sticks to the roll…making it easy to unravel around the boat without fear it will come unspooled.

This banding works as it should,but the beat reason for my review is that this roll doea not come like on a spool that covers the sides.My first thought was that once i opened it would go everywhere and I would have mess,but it didn’t.the banding has like a tacky surface that prevents it from coming off the spool on its own,if you can buy the 3/4†buy it but the 1/2†works good

This was my first time doing , so I watched a UTUBE video and installed the Shrink wrap supports in minutes with cord strapping.

I purchase this to try to save some money on boat shrink wrapping. This product is slightly more flexible that Mr Shrinkwrap brand. Since I do not using the strapping tool, it actually works better for me. I plan to purchase it again next year.
