Easy and must have tool
Voltage & Polarity Testing
Used to test auto battery, automotive circuits voltage and polarity, connect the Alligator Clip either to the ground or positive.
Circuit Testing
Connect the alligator clip to the ground, use the probe to touch wires or fuse to diagnose short circuit or defective fuse.

The Heavy Duty 3-48V Backlit Digital LCD Circuit Tester, Test Light with 140 Inch Extended Spring Wire is a great tool at an affordable price! Everything it is supposed to do, it does. It is a good quality vehicle tester, good weight in the hand and the long wire prevents the ground from coming off. For those who know, it can be very annoying. It only works on 12v systems and the backlit LED display is clearly visible in day and night and it is powered when you complete the circuit you are testing. I have only two issues with it, but this is based on your intended use. This tester will not test voltage below 3v, you will need a different tester. Also, the point is very difficult to use on small automotive wires. Especially wires that involve brake and directional signal lights. The point does not pierce the jacketing to get a reading. This will pose a problem when attempting to wire a trailer harness to your vehicle. Overall a very good product.

I tested it on a new car battery and it works well. It seems well-made. My only complaint is that the alligator clip (negative) is too small of an opening and very hard to open. Not a problem if you just touch it to the negative terminal.
